  1. Yep all my Ashdown amps have fans which sound like jet engines taking off. My Glockenklang has a fan so quiet you have to put your ear right up to it to hear it, even after a 3 hour rehearsal. Should be something they can sort by choosing a better fan tbh.
  2. There’s a WT550 in the classifieds at the moment 🤓
  3. Definitely sounds like a DI issue. Email Ashdown, they’ll sort you out
  4. Was there any tonal difference through the DI when you switched the various sections in or out?
  5. Yep. It’s a moot point either way as it’s highly unlikely I’ll ever need that much air moving, it’s a bit…. overkill 😆 But as you rightly point out there are different options should the need arise
  6. I know, and it’s highly unlikely I’ll do it. I was just observing 😉 Switching the Two10 to 4 ohms and running with a single One10 is the most sensible solution if I need to move lots of air.
  7. I’ve just realised I’m a donut. I can run all the cabs with the Glock in 2.67 ohm mode - just use the Two10S in 12 ohm mode rather than 4. This makes a 3 ohm total load and all the air ever will be moved. If there’s an earthquake near Gatwick soon, I’m sorry.
  8. If I add feet yeah - the port thingy will be firing up but can't see that being an issue...
  9. Yep - been talking to Alex about it. It's not the easiest fix because the grille isn't symmetrical, but I'll come up with a plan somehow... 🤓
  10. Tens; a pair of One10s and a mint Two10S I snagged from Facebook thanks to a little investigative work from @eude. The idea being that my new Glock can do 2.67ohms, so I’ll run a single One10 (8 ohms) and the Two10 in 4 ohms when I need to move that much air 😁
  11. Great cab, great price, great seller, can’t go wrong
  12. Barefaced cabs. No amp from them yet - still in development and of course will be interested to see what they do. Glockenklang or Ashdown amps.
  13. Both glue and tolex were changed in 2019 AIUI
  14. I have two One10s, one is a 2017 model with a tiny bit of peeling whilst the other is 2019 with a newer tolex and no peeling at all. I’d have no doubt about buying new at all
  15. Latest iteration of my mini rig of doom. The Glockenklang is incredible:
  16. Wrong way round. Your RM head can do 4 ohms minimum load, which means you could run two 8 ohm cabs or one 4 ohm. They do this again because of this common myth that “getting full power from my head” means more volume. Which goes back to Bill’s post I shared earlier Two 8 ohm 4x10s will be louder than one 4 ohm because you’re moving double the amount of air, not because you’re running the amp at its nominal minimum impedance.
  17. Yes. More speaker area means more volume. Impedance isn’t really relevant in volume discussions when comparing 8 or 4 ohms (For instance, my glorious One10 pair is loud enough for all but one of my bands. So for that, I’m going to add more speakers, but the impedance will go up because of the way I’ll wire it. It’ll still be more louderererer)
  18. 1. (Pedant alert) it’s impedance, not ohmage 2. A 4x10 will be louder than a 1x15 most likely. The impedance doesn’t really make much difference. Bill Fitzmaurice made a good point in another thread recently about “getting the maximum from an amp” - I’ll see if I can find it.
  19. Yep I agree, that was lovely tasteful playing and has easy real world application. Nice
