  1. Yup I’m all about smaller bodied basses too. It’s the future (for me…). Along with 30-32” scale.
  2. I just slipped a disc looking at that
  3. I was reasonably active on there til around 2015/16 I think. There was a small selection of about 15-20 regular members who were very knowledgeable, funny and interesting to talk to but there were a lot of threads which got a little derogatory about BC... Still talk to a few of the guys, and indeed it was Finnbass which started my love affair with both ACG and Zoot. Whilst the demise is a shame it's not really been doing anything for a number of years.
  4. I keep coming back to this one to ogle. Plus the 32” Jake L 5P on the Public Peace shop. That is sexy AF. 32” is my favourite scale length. And the longest I have in my arsenal now
  5. Agree. For old school class AB amps this really is one of the best IMO

    610 Cabs

Yup spot on maths I run the Glock in 2.67 ohm mode so the Two10 is 4 ohms
  7. Lovely!

    3x10 FTW 🤓
  9. It’s a complicated thing to explain properly - in a nutshell it’s a rock band for kids and they have set themselves up to do duo (keys or guitar and vocals) or full band, so the four-piece without bass has just become a natural progression from there. And yes it does make me feel a little like a spare part!
  10. Believe me, I’ve had a lot of conflicting thoughts over the years and my wife is probably sick of me questioning the whole thing with her! The dynamic of the band is kinda complicated so I’ve gone down the route of taking what I’m given but I’m not sure it’s going to have much of a medium/long term future for me.
  11. I know the feeling. In one of the bands I'm in, if the budget from any potential booking is too tight, they immediately offer themselves out as a four piece without me, with the keys player covering the bass. Ultimately I have just decided f**k it, I'll turn up when I'm told and not worry about anything else. Kinda whizzed me off a couple of weeks ago when the guitarist refused to play because of water on the stage though, as I guarantee he'll have been paid the same as I was even though he just turned up and moaned, whilst I got on with it.
  12. I’d be tempted to look at this: https://www.thomann.de/gb/joyo_badass.htm Hell, I’m tempting myself with it now and wasn’t even looking 🤦🏼‍♂️
  13. If you're selling as a "needs work" then the price obviously has to reflect that. Personally I'd want to get the electronics fixed before selling, but leave the rest as it's mojo. People pay a lot for new basses with fake mojo so having real mojo isn't a bad thing to the right buyer
  14. Immense bargain! Gutted I missed it
  15. Apologies if this has already been asked - skim read but couldn’t see an answer. on the Public Peace shop the prices include 19% tax; therefore UK landed price will be remarkably similar I presume. What about customs duty etc - how much have people paid on top of that price since B-xit?
  16. Well the correct number of basses is n+1, where n is the current number owned. Therefore it stands to reason that n+2 is too many. 🤓
  17. Oddly enough I was pondering a topic along these lines… I have two utterly wonderful ACG five string (fretted) basses but only really need one (fretted) fiver in my life so was concocting a spec to consolidate into one. But there’s a gorgeous Jake L5 available at the moment which is whispering sweet nothings to me 😳 @JPJ do let us know if you go for it
  18. Oooh. Always fancied one of these. Near Leeds in a fortnight, if this is still here I’ll be in touch!
  19. Good taste! If this wasn't active I'd have probably found a credit card to abuse by now...
  20. If it’s a European spec head then the only difference is the plug on the end of the lead, so a new IEC Mains lead (not a kettle lead, they’re only for kettles ) with a UK plug and suitable fuse will be fine. EU mains electricity is 50Hz, 220-240V just like the UK
  21. Nothing forthcoming. I suspect it's caught up in the many component shortages etc and probably now slated for a January NAMM release?
  22. Wonderful repair of a calamitous botch job!
  23. I have wavered over buying a shorty Jazz for a while; if they’d done a shorty P I probably would have given in ages ago.
