According to Fred from Peavey the cabs aren’t ridiculously heavy but not super light either. Rumour has it the 2x12 (still a short time off being officially released) is a sonic beast. I’m not really in the market for the cabs though. The amp is on my “must try” list however, but at present there’s zero chance of me being able to afford it any time soon thanks to good old Eunice 😅

Apparently $999 in the US, so expect the same numbers over here with a pound sign instead…. And the logo on the cab is rotatable depending on how you stack it 😆

Yeah @eude and I were saying the same thing about the fonts. I really like the idea of the head (it’s the backlit green innit!), and am looking forward to the 2x12 cab as well… they look well thought out.

I should mention, we would have gone with the Lindy Fralin still but they don’t do 5 string P pickups 😕 Mike recommended the Aguilar as the closest thing available without going a bit crazy special.

Er. Well. This never quite got out of the starting blocks due to various reasons. This was a blessing though, because last year Mike shared some photos of a bass he’d built for a guy in Japan and I got a bit over excited about how lovely it was. So on Mike’s suggestion we paused this idea and switched. I popped over to Essex today to catch up with him and finalise “my” version of that spec. It’s going to be tasty: Zoot Funkmeister 5 string, 32” scale (slimmed down standard Funkmeister 5 body to suit) 3-piece maple neck with black stringers, stolen unashamedly by me from @GreeneKing’s recent Zoot Maple fingerboard with dots along the top side (rather than middle of the fingerboard) Aguilar AG 5P 60CL pickup Passive, volume/tone plus series/parallel switch Chrome hardware Badass bridge from Mike’s stock, cut for ~17.5mm ish string spacing Hipshot ultralite tuners High gloss “Arctic White” finish on body and headstock front Tort scratchplate

BTW the company I work for uses UPS both locally throughout the UK and also for our main imports from Germany and Poland (where our main factories are situated). We have a fecking account and ship best part of 50 packages a day, and we have no direct personal contact. They are a fecking NIGHTMARE to get hold of. The fact you managed to get someone’s mobile number and email address is pretty impressive @hiram.k.hackenbacker:)
