  1. Indeed. They’re good (I have a soft spot for Those Damn Crows and Tax The Heat) but they’re not next level good I don’t think sadly.
  2. Haha sorry I didn't read your original post properly It's certainly something to consider isn't it...
  3. Similar theme to this thread (though that is focussed on British bands only):
  4. There are a reasonable few decent new(ish) UK bands - whether they can make the leap is another matter entirely. To name a few...: Those Damn Crows The Dust Coda Tax The Heat Mason Hill Massive Wagons
  5. I would agree, I've had two basses with Barts and the are lovely, lovely pickups but rude is not a term I'd associate with them.
  6. Nordstrand would be top of my choices I think
  7. Yep, their Instagram page is pure filth, I’m lucky my Argentinian friend isn’t still there or my bank account would be very heavily in the red 😅
  8. Nicole Row who plays for Panic At The Disco is bloody great. I could mention Tal Wilkenfeld too but she probably gets a lot of attention already…
  9. Cass Lewis Robert DeLeo and more but it’s early and my brain isn’t yet switched on
  10. Pretty sure this will be the case with the Little Stubby. Proceed with caution!
  11. That’s good, I’m out too!
  12. This is bloody great! FWIW I prefer the original pickup cover and bridge matching the neck-thru
  13. TBH I’m not sure what power stage the Original uses; I’d guess it’s the same ICEPower board that the RM500 uses but couldn’t be sure one way or the other. The Original 300... less sure again but I have a vague recollection that Mark Gooday hinted it WASN’T an ICEPower board for once.
  14. Yes. My wallet is sweating and it’s not just the heat 😅 PS also contemplating the Pro Neo cabs argh
  15. There’s a demo on the Andertons YouTube channel of the RM and the Original head; my personal feeling is the Original 500 head has a sweeter sounding EQ than the RM but the RM has the drive, sub and compressor which make it more versatile as a standalone head. Depends on how you do all your tone shaping I guess. If I didn’t already have 3 million amps I’d have an Original 500 as a spare, especially at the current Andertons price.
  16. Airbourne come to mind, shamelessly aping the AC/DC sound. Greta Van Fleet were accused of being Zep-lite on their first album weren't they...
  17. Good luck in your new home Nik! No words of wisdom from me as I don’t know your area at all I’m afraid
  18. Thais is pretty much exactly the same as I’ve comissioned @Cosmicrain to build me! Lovely
  19. Wish I'd not gone not the Andertons site following this. Lots of other stuff is reduced too, though not as drastic in reduction there is still a lot to cause me pause for thought. Dammit.
  20. Yup, I have heard that Doug, and also possibly Guy Pratt, played on his first album?
  21. Love his first album, not really listened to the second. Will have to take the time to listen! Agree re. Future Love Paradise
  22. I know a good keys player / serial killer too. Small world haha
