  1. Not that I’ve seen!
  2. Funnily enough that’s what a lot of the market has been asking for since it was first launched!
  3. The preamp pedal looks great and at under £150 is a superb price. Could rival my love for the Ashdown OriginAL preamp 😱
  4. Looks interesting. An 800W amp would be the dream…: https://www.laney.co.uk/digbeth-bass-2021-06
  5. Aha - didn’t know the LH was that light! Nice 😎
  6. Forgot that one. That would be near the top off my choices too!
  7. @FinnDave has mentioned weight being a consideration so I think, despite my agreement that the LH series are a great option for simplicity and power, they aren't the right option for weight. My choices would be along the lines of the class D offerings Original 500, TC BH800, Orange Terror Mk2, GR Bass Pureamp, Quilter as previously mentioned
  8. Hey Laurence, I do - I have a glorious 5 string fretless built for me by a friend. I don't wish derail this thread with it but if you're interested all the deets are here: Mert (PS, I bought the OriginAL preamp pedal from you last year, still loving it!)
  9. I do. And yes, I am 🤪
  10. Holy moly 😍 I think I prefer the tort but both look superb 🙂
  11. https://www.andertons.co.uk/ashdown-original-500h-bass-amp-head ETA: that would be my immediate thought. It sounds lush on the Andertons YouTube video. And the EQ will feel familiar from the RM head.
  12. I’d go second hand and get a decent brand name
  13. Indeed. They’re good (I have a soft spot for Those Damn Crows and Tax The Heat) but they’re not next level good I don’t think sadly.
  14. Haha sorry I didn't read your original post properly It's certainly something to consider isn't it...
  15. Similar theme to this thread (though that is focussed on British bands only):
  16. There are a reasonable few decent new(ish) UK bands - whether they can make the leap is another matter entirely. To name a few...: Those Damn Crows The Dust Coda Tax The Heat Mason Hill Massive Wagons
  17. I would agree, I've had two basses with Barts and the are lovely, lovely pickups but rude is not a term I'd associate with them.
  18. Nordstrand would be top of my choices I think
  19. Yep, their Instagram page is pure filth, I’m lucky my Argentinian friend isn’t still there or my bank account would be very heavily in the red 😅
  20. Nicole Row who plays for Panic At The Disco is bloody great. I could mention Tal Wilkenfeld too but she probably gets a lot of attention already…
  21. Cass Lewis Robert DeLeo and more but it’s early and my brain isn’t yet switched on
  22. Pretty sure this will be the case with the Little Stubby. Proceed with caution!
  23. That’s good, I’m out too!
