I only have 2 transformers in mine too. Could it be an additional transformer for converting to 110V for USA perhaps, so they don't have to change the main PSU transformer?

Good question - I'm aware that it's inherently sticky (and annoying as hell!!); this stickiness is one of the reasons it can't go through the automated machines but there must be more to it that just that. It was DPD who told one of our distributors this, and the distributor keeps using it as a reason for us to wrap EVERYTHING in black plastic just in case...

Great end to this story, and great packaging! Where I work, we've been told in the past the black plastic wrapping is disliked because it means the package cannot go through automatic conveyors etc so has to be 100% manually handled through depots and sorting centrees etc. We therefore always use it for certain products because it stops the ~1.5m drop which some automated centres seem to have at certain points in their handling process!

The only decent Black Friday deal I've found this year was Laithwaites. 6 bottles of red and two wine tumblers delivered for less than £40, normal price £90 Of course buying that meant I had to get a similar deal on 6 bottles of white for the boss, so we now have 4 wine tumblers we don't need

Similar to the CD/mp3 vs Vinyl argument I guess. (As already mentioned on this thread IIRC!) I am certainly not against modelling etc but for my basic needs I just don't need it, a basic pedalboard and amp/cab set up works. That may all change as the live music scene re-finds its feet and I decide I'm too old and stinky poo to keep doing half of what I do, but even then I'm not sure I'll ever go fully digital. We'll see. I can certainly see its benefits!
