  1. I think it is simply the ABM600 in a package similar to the Geezer Head Of Doom and Shavo signature models. There may well be more to it than that but not sure... edit - Painy said the same thing marginally quicker than me!
  2. I’ve just been offered a Sandberg for £750. I wasn’t even looking for one, but it’s sooo pretty. Argh.
  3. Oh you naughty boy Tyler 🤣 I wanted this so badly last year, ended up with the original LB instead. This is a great little head and the additional controls give some real good flexibility over tone. Someone will get a bargain here
  4. Very nice
  5. I really must join in this year. There’s a bass which @skelf is taking to NAMM which will cause me serious bank trouble if it returns unsold and I was talking to @Cosmicrain about another Funkmeister build too, but neither bass is needed and I’ve just started the year with a huuuuge bill for my wife’s horse. On top of that I have a bathroom refurb to do and the wife wants to redecorate the rest of the house too. So, (somewhat grudgingly 🤣), I’m in.
  6. I always found myself relying on the lines on my old Status Groove fretless so when my friend built me this made a conscious decision to go unlined, to force me to listen more and look less. It’s great fun
  7. Yup.
  8. I should add this really
  9. Nice!
  10. Yep. Basically yours is an early iteration of the cab, but it’s not like the distinct “Gen 1/ Gen 2” Compacts and Super Twelves etc. It’s possibly part of the “Gen 3” range but (I think) strictly speaking that’s the Super Compact, Super Twin, Big Baby II etc...
  11. Really pleased to see you’re getting on with it John Though this post kinda makes me want it back 🤣 Mind you, I did some recording yesterday and the CTM100 brought the thunder beautifully.
  12. I’m sticking with worst purchase being the two sets of LaBella strings. Both Es were short rather than medium scale and both Ds were cut too short to fit properly round the post. 2020 will be all about trying to find a suitable alternative medium scale stainless roundwound string - these LaBellas sound, feel and play great but can’t be doing with their shite QC.
  13. Mike is a legend 🙂
  14. Follow the advice here and you’ll do a better job than LaBella...:
  15. My CTM100 through the BF 410 cab is plenty loud enough, as it was through a BF Super Compact (single 12”). Through a 610 the WB100 will be immense
  16. The WB100 will drive 100W at whatever impedance you select on the back. Valve amps always output max power so long as the impedance is matched. Which cab are you using?
  17. It was designed by Rob Green at Status “on the back of a fag packet” with someone or other from Trace Elliot - possibly Mark Gooday of course. The Lodestone version isn’t as pretty for sure, I suspect they had to tweak it enough to make it not a complete clone of the T-Bass/Status version.
  18. I’d like a short scale PJ ideally but I suspect Mark won’t go for that too! The shorty J is certainly of interest
  19. LaBella do some lovely rounds which work beautifully on a P bass IMO. Newtone worth a look too
  20. Bonkers price for a really very good cab. I use these in my local rehearsal studio. Maybe they should buy it as a spare. Or to make an 8x10 rig 😃
  21. I do indeed never learn! It’s be boring if I did 🤣 The tune select is for power amp valve biaising like on the CTM100/300 models
  22. I suspect it’s the exact same preamp as the CTM100/300 - the Mellow switch on them is a lovely little thing IMO
