  1. This is for my Taranis fretless build (see here if you want more info https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/335871-conway-instruments-taranis-fretless/?page=2) The PUp is the Lakland fit with the screw lugs protruding in classic MM style.
  2. Anyone got a routing template for the 5 string MM pickup? We’re using the Nordstrand MM5.4 with Lakland spacing, and whilst Phil is happy to make a template we thought we’d ask on here first in case anyone has already gone to the trouble...
  3. Can I have my RM head painted red?
  4. The metal boxes is kinda where I was going with my comment haha 🤓
  5. Given that the basic external construction of the Little Stubby and RM500 are the same I suspect a Surf Green RM is well within their capabilities. Do it!
  6. As hinted at on my other two builds (yes I’m a greedy pig) I am in a very very lucky position to be having a third bass build this year. All were commissioned in 2018 with deposits at least being put down then, so I’m counting myself still “in” with Sibob’s challenge. The ACG is one which has been in my head since I had to sell my original Finn 5 18 months ago. It’s based on what I learnt from that and from what I’ve learnt with my glorious ash/maple Finn 4. For an ACG it’s quite simple in spec but it’s going to be classy AF and amazing. I can’t wait! Specs: Two piece ash body, no fancy top 5 piece maple/bubinga neck Acrylic Impregnated maple fingerboard with 30” radius 32” scale 4+1 headstock with maple front veneer Two ACG FB pickups in 25mm casings East UniPre3 Black hardware And pictures too!
  7. I’d love to take the credit but @ybotyawnoc is the man behind this wood porn. I popped round on Friday to see how the neck carve is vs my idea for shape and thickness etc and it’s almost perfectly spot on, whoop!
  8. Tried the EHX Mono Synth yesterday at GuitarGuitar. Hmmm. Not sure. Some cool sounds but it’s quite limited, which is odd because I only really want one or two sounds from a synth pedal. I’m just not sure it quite nails them.
  9. Sooo close now! Unfortunately one of the pickups is dead so just sorting out fixing that with Nordstrand, then it’s pretty much final neck carve and finishing I think
  10. Neck carve about to start. Btw the neck is sitting in its cavity in the body there and there’s no glue whatsoever. Tight as a cats derrière that fit, glorious!
  11. You’re spot on and it’s not the only time they’ve been a bit “crazy” 🤔 The BFC cab they released at the end of the 90s was sold as “Bass Frequency Cab” but they actually wanted to call it the “Big F*%king Cab”
  12. I have sibling to Mr @ead‘s Finn P, also 32” scale: Edit - but mine doesn’t have the fancy top!
  13. If you want, but I thought your name was fleabag?
  14. Ashdown ABM600 or RM500/800 should the ABM still be too heavy. Cab wise - loads of choices. I use Barefaced but Ashdown have a lightweight range with the RM cabs, then there’s Vanderkley, Bergantino, Markbass, etc etc You’re spoilt for choice really!
  15. I think 31.5 to 33” is fair cop for medium scale?
