Relax, dude. I didn't send you one.

  2. I have the same combo and can vouch for its awesomeness. Mine is also UK but for some reason has no option for additional cabs, just the one output on mine
  3. Will get better pics when the child comes down off the ceiling from blue sweets on school hols finding it very hard to prperly catch the crack so will get more details pics of this as well
  4. Bought an SFT pedal of Kevin. Uber fast delivery and no probs at all.
  5. Pawel bought a set of flats off me. Done several string trades with this gent and this time was yet another effortlessly smooth transaction. Nae danger here
  6. Black Epiphone Jack Casady bass. Here we have my old bass that has recently been set up by Steve @ HW Audio, Bolton with some nice vintage style flatwound strings to give a great thumpy old school tone. Good Points Recently set up and ready to rock and/or roll Flatwound strings fitted Comes with a padded gig bag - hard to find to fit these basses Bad Points A laquer crack on the neck between the nut and 2nd fret. Hasn’t moved since I got it and that includes having some pretty high tension La Bella's on in the past. Was fully checked out by Steve during the recent set up and he said the 'crack' is stable, not 'wood deep' and does not need any attention White pickguard is missing. Was when I first bought it but I actually prefer the look of the bass without it I know the crack may be of concern. It was when I first bought it of Gary Grochla of this parish but it has never caused any issues and cannot be felt when playing. Happy for viewing and testing but also I have priced this to reflect. £350.00 collected from Bolton or could deliver within reasonable distance. Not looking to post at the moment. Would consider a trade for a Squier 77 Jazz Bass in sunburst with cash my way Pics to follow asap
  7. Todays GAS - a Squier 77 Jazz Bass in burst

  8. Hmmmm, interesting AND local - dangerous! Is that thumb rest screwed in or just stuck on?
  9. Ah, cheers for that. Will give them a try although they were very unresponsive when I enquired about a new grille for a Mesa cab
  10. Been trying to get one of these for ages having used the MSS100. Nowhere in the UK seems to stock them and coming from USA at around £100 I dread to think what the customs fees will be. Anyone know any UK stockists? Ive emailed a few supposed Levys's stockists but none seem to be able to get the MSS90
  11. Probably my third or fourth time dealing with Davie. Sold him a set of la bella's in another effortlessly smooth transaction. One of the good guys
  12. Theres one of them 400w all valve Laney Nexus heads for sale local to me for under £600, must say im tempted
  13. Couple of used sets of flats. All cut for a P bass type headstock. La Bella Low Tension flats - £20 Bought used (3hr-4hr use from previous seller) and had 5 mins on my P bass. Just a little TOO low tension for me compared to my usual Elites. Maybe I need to try the 760FL's? Status Hotwire - £10 each (two sets available) Lovely smooth feel with pretty low tension. These are labled as Medium scale but fit both my P bass and Jack Casady bass perfectly with a good few centimeters clearance of the nut before the silks start. These are uncut but have been fitted and had a coupoe of hours use. Prices inc P&P within UK
  14. Bought some strings off Alain and upon swapping paypal/address details it turns out we were fairly local to each other. Few exchanged txts and a lunch hour meet up was arranged, quick bass chinwag and strings were purchased. Effortlessly smooth transaction.
  15. Gigging my recently downsized backline which now consists of just a combo - the Ashdown Touring 550 2x10. More than happy with it!

    NVD!

What valve did this replace? Im a sucker for valve rolling and have been messing with the 2 x 12AX7's in my Ashdown Spyder recently. Found a cheapo Chinese 12AX7 in V1 and a JJ in V2 sound best so far
  17. Been using these a lot recently and love the tone of the G, D and A but find the E dies soooo quickly to a cardboard thud. Anyone else had this issue at all? Ive tried emailing Bass Centre but no response so far. Im trying to see if theres a dodgy batch or if im doing something wrong here
  18. An old Guns N Roses band near us used to go under the name of Pistols N Petunias
  19. Anyone used the Maruszcsyk own brand flats at all?  Looking for thump (not modern Chromes type twang) but NO dead E

I've not used Maruszcsyk.  I can however second the recommendation for Picato flats.  I have a DBE set of them on my Steinberger Spirit.

Whump diddy bump diddy bump olé!

I do like picatos but I always find its a compromise - for thumpy old school I always struggle with a dead E, a lively E usually means using the brighter flats like Fender or Chromes :(

      Mixed set then?

  20. Paul bought my Ampeg cab off me in an effortlessly smooth transaction. Had a good chinwag about gear and no I have a pedal modding contact :). Nae danger here
  21. A 550 head has been listed on ebay (complete with mis-spelt title) collection from Devon area (no affiliation with the seller, just pointing it out) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ashdon-550-Spyder-bass-amp-head/253686480595?hash=item3b10e47ed3:g:yTkAAOSw4-VbIL8W
