  3. Here we have my Epiphone Rivoli complete with Epiphone Hardcase and scratchplate. One pup version in sunburst. Recently had full set up and fret dress at PMT Manchester where it was fitted with GHS Brite Flats. No major dings - only 'blemish' as can be seen in photos is the screw in the front of the body near the pup where the previous owner had fitted a home made thumbrest (cut a p-bass style one in half by the looks of it). Im based in Bolton and really don't want to ship but I can deliver within reasonable distance. Trade wise id consider deals involving a Fender Classic 50's P Bass in Sunburst. SOLD PENDING
  4. Second string deal ive done with Redstriper and this was just as smooth and effortless as last time. Deal with confidence fellow low enders!

Met Martin today in Manchester to buy an ashdown pedal off him. Not only that he chucked in a few free ashdown goodies. Top geezer, a pleasure dealing. Cheers martin!
  6. Dont suppose you venture into the city centre during the week?
  7. Love these tele basses - had the old squier version and loved it, nowhere near as muddy as i expected it would be with that whoppin great bucker.
  8. i had the taper wraped round my Epi's elephant ear tuners twice so i wouldve thought so
  9. On my quest to find the ideal flatwound for my Epiphone rivoli i have got these two sets to offer:- 1) Picato Flat Wound 45-105. These werent on long. I use these on my P bass but a little to dark for a single humbucker bass (unoless you like dark of course). 2 hours play 2) D'Addario Halfrounds - 40-100 (i think). These were the closest i got to 'perfect'. Initially bright they soon settled down to a nice smooth thump whilst retaining a little bite. Only thing i didnt like was the small gauge. 10 hours play - Still have box Both cut for a 2+2 headstock. £12.50 each includes postage to UK
  10. I bought a black PB70 from this very dealer. He was VERY good. Its the first time id ever shipped a bass before and had some trepidation but the seller really was brilliant
  11. If i can flog my Hartke AK410 i may be in touch about the cab. Its been for sale a while tho and no bites
  12. Hartke LH500 in live-in Warwick Rockcase flightcase. Still have original box, packaging and manual. Has lived in the flightcase all its life so immaculate (case itself is immaculate too!. Switched the original Sovtek valve for a longplate JJ ECC83 which really warms up the sound and gives a nice growl when pushed (will supply the original too). I run this amp with the Harke AK4x10 and it sounds brilliant with my flats loaded P bass. Im a big hartke fan and this amp replaced my HA5500. Sound Only reason im selling is I have a chance at a big old 200w valve amp and im like a moth to light when I see vintagey things with glowing valves J Collection only from Bolton please but can deliver/meet half way within reasonable distance. No trades im afraid, the mrs would de-nad me. Pics will follow when im not on works computer but trials more than welcome with your own bass/cab or mine
  13. Their bass players SVT was in my amp techs a few weeks ago when i was dropping off my WEM
  14. It wasnt so much volume i struggled with its just the SC broke up into a valvey mushness way too quickly, even with tinkered pre amp valve swaps. I think the active EQ didnt help on those 120's
  15. Decided i want to get my main rig back to an all valve effort. Seen one of these Bugera's on thommans b-stock list and was wondering if anyone had tried them at all? Few google searches seem to show people really rate them as a bass amp but my concern would be clean headroom - dont want it to break-up TOO early. So far my valve 'want' list is Sound City 200 or 150 (ive had the 120 and whilst it didnt have the balls at bigger volumes the tone was amazing) but this Bugera seems fairly cheap and so far fairly decent reveiws. Any thoughts (other than the obligatory ''you do know this is behringer and will catch fire yadayada'')
  16. Damn you and your local, very reasonably priced valve head whilst im skint and fully Hartke'd up!
  17. So tempted and youre local. Need a bit more time with my LH500 to see
