1. No worries, never know, may still be hear for a while yet
2. The warwick seems to be what im after. Its not bulky and just pretty plain and simple looking. Think they are around £50 as well so not too bad. Might stick a wanted ad on here and if nowt comes up will splash out on a new one. Cheers
3. My last cab was an Ashdown and as it was the deep model it wouldve been fine. The Hartke AK cab im currently using is noticably less deep, maybe not much more than the LH500 so around 15" possibly?
4. LH500 users who rackmount – what case are you using? I bought a Stagg 2U one off here and whilst the case is brilliant it’s a little too big for what I need. It hangs off the back of the cab and dosent feel fully secure with its plastic shiny feet against a shiny tolex – can see it rumbling off. Im after something maybe less bulky and certainly smaller (depth wise). Ive considered a few options:- · Roqsolid padded cover – Will be good but worried about level of protection · 2U carpet covered sleeve – again would be good (even better if it was tolext covered) but no lids so buttons exposed in transit · 2U wooden sleeve then buy a basic roqsolid cover to fit over the whole thing. Having never rackmounted before im not even sure im doing it right. Currently (in the Stagg case) ive had to remove the amps rubber feet to get it in and just used the screws at the front to secure – am I meant to secure the amp internally too? Of course if anyone has a small 2U case/sleeve (depth around 13” for the Hartke) and fancies a trade id be up for it tho id need to put that in the correct forum place.
5. Last bump and its back in the box and joins the Hartke under the bed. I have a rather expensive 'under the bed' at the moment
6. had one of these back in my Ashdown days before i went all crazy and Hartke. Swaped the two tubes out for some old Brimars and the thing sang! If you want a proper dual valve pre-amp effort put your Orange TB back in the toy box and snap this up!
7. Still not shifted even at this price so it goes in its box and under the bed. Not desperate to get rid and i know its not worth less than £200. May even use it as a part ex later in the year against a back up bass or something
8. £200 bump n if still no interest is going back in its box and hiding under the bed from the mrs. Had this producing some VERY sweet bass tones at rehearsal yesterday. We rehearse sunday afternoons in Bolton so you could always come down and have a real blast with it?
9. Right, done something naughty and gone against 'her' rules. Ive bought a cheap LH500 without first selling this. Assuming the LH500 lands early next week i need this gone. Any offers over say £220 at all for 500 watts of cracking bass tone? Will deliver within reasonable distance or happy to meet up within reason.
10. As a few of you will know im a massive Hartke fan having used their combo's, HA2500 and currently HA5500. Cab wise ive had their VX115, 410 Transporter and most recently the VX215. I managed to grab a bargain from their recent Korg sell out and arriving today was the Hartke AK410. A sealed 4x10 bass cab with switchable titanium 1" driver/tweeter. The first thing i notice is how solid it feels (not surprising with Hartke). Currently pairing with my HA5500 (toying with the idea of a LH500) & my trusty P bass it sounds mega - as mega as it can at baby-in-bed volume anyway. Really forget how small 4x10's are when you have been rocking a 2x15 too Cant wait to crank it at rehearsal on sunday. Pics to follow. Quick thanks to andy67 who supplied me with quite a detailed PM when i asked about his AK410 whilst i was contemplating my buy
11. Didnt sell on ebay either so i assume im overpricing it? Have relisted at £280 or open to offers. Obviously BC offers will take precident.

14. The cull continues:- For sale is my Hartke HA5500 (non-rack version) in the old vintage style wooden surround and large white Hartke logo. Comes with original box, packaging. PDF printed user manual and Roqsolid custom made cover. You know these amps, more commonly seen are this guys little brothers (the 3500 and 2500). This is the same but with more juice, these are insanely loud. I used mine with the tube pre-amp on ¾’s and the solid state pre completely off and it sounds wonderful. Lovely warm valvey tone on my current settings. Certainly can do quite a gainy tone as well with the right settings given its large graphic EQ. Ive used this with an Ashdown 414T and more recently the matching Hartke VX215 cab and through both it has performed well. So why am I selling….Basically my current rig is overkill for what im currently doing. Just me, a guitarist and a quite-ish drummer in a small garage dosent require the power of this beast (or the 2x15 im running it with). Im probably gonna go with a small ampeg PF350 or something and a small 2x10 cab. Head has one or two tiny tolex nicks but no dints or major damage. Comes with original box and packaging and custom made roqsolid cover. Will also be looking to shift the VX215 cab on here also. Collected from Bolton or delivered locally for £300 ono. Would do a deal for the whole rig Pics to follow
15. Bit of a feeler here as my GAS got the better of me. For some reason I thought itd be a good idea to get a 500w Hartke 2x15 bass cab to pair with my 500W Hartke head despite my ‘band’ consisting of me, a drummer and one guitarist – not gigging and just rehearsing in a small garage. Had it 2 weeks and realise its overkill Anyway, the thing sounds massive (as one would expect) and I actually found it to have plenty of top end surprisingly when running it with the HA5500 and my P bass. Certainly not ‘boomy’ and really precise for such big speakers. Only major ‘issue’ is the missing ‘VX Series’ badge that appears in the bottom corner of these cabs, ive spoken to Hartke (Korg in the UK actually) and they have one on order for me. Comes with big heavy duty rubber wheels/castors that make moving it a doddle – it actually seems to weigh less than my old Ashdown 414T. £150 collected from Bolton or delivered locally. Half way meets also considered for fuel/beer money. HA5500 Head also for sale on here. Will do a deal if anyone wants both the head and cab
16. This is what essentially i will be down sizing to following my lack of gigging action recently. Shame youre not closer (and i havent shifted my rig yet)
