pickup position/style reminds me of my bison
-
Right, after muchos umming and ahing ive decided the whole ashdown rig is to go. The head is sold pending but i now have the 410 Deep and 115 Deep left. The 410 is a little tatty. The carpet is a bit bobbly and at the back a slight bit has come unstuck. Easily glued down tho and sounds fantastic. The 115 is in better condition, bought of TDM on here early this year. Initially ran them with the MAG300 head but recently with my Hartke HA amp and it sounded amazing! Reason for sale is i dont play at the moment and space. As i will be looking to get back into it soon i would consider the following trades with cash either way upon discussion:- Ashdown ABM BP1510 consider any 2x15's or possibly 2x12's. Money wise:- i would guess at the 4x10 is worth about £100 and the 1x15 about £70. Ideally want to sell/trade as a pair but will consider options if both cabs are wanted seperately. Pics to follow very shortly. Based in Bolton by the way so ideally looking for something local. Cheers,

Burns Bison...anyone played one of the Korean versions?

i know im diggin up an old thread here but just came across it and had to comment. Ive had my bison now for over a year and it STILL gets me giddy when i get it out of its case. Most times the novelty of a new bass lasts me about 4 months but this baby keeps me goin. Wanted one for ages and even tho i gas for other basses i could never top the feelin i have for the bison (only bass that could do it would be a Ricky 4005 in cherryburst!). Heres a pic of me rocking it at the Night N Day in Manchester -

Came free with a Squire bass i bought on ebay as a project/back up bass. Only just plugged it in now to see if its working n it all appears fine. Never used it (didnt even want it but it came with the bass!). Any takers before end of week (collection only in Bolton) if not ill see if the local school can make use of it.

Having a clear out of all my old and no longer used gear. Ive found an old Carlsbro Bassline 50 combo. 50 Watts thru what im assuming is a 12'' driver, sounds pretty loud at top wack. Volume knob crackles a little bit but stops with a little twist back and fourth. Nice carpet covering with gold coloured chrome corners and knobs. Not seen any other for sale so really dont know what price to set but i would imagine around £50? If anyones interested please let me know n ill try n get pics. Is a bit heavy and as such looking for collection only in Bolton. Any advises on the price much appreiated. Cheers,

Been looking to have a go of this classic song for a while, only thing i can find online is the guitar chords which help a little bit. Was wondering before i pick up the bison for a go does anyone have any tips/tabs for this song at all?

Back up for trade with pics to follow. Looking for a vintage style 2x15 cab or anything kinda 'mixed' cab i.e the ashdown ABM with the 15 and 2x10's etc. Really something with major low end and punch of around 400w to go with the Hartke head. Must be local(ish) to Bolton but i do travel to Birmingham a lot so that could be an option too.

Sorry for not replying to PM's, broken laptop! The amp is still for sale, collect only from bolton and would now consider £90. Was considering selling the full rig (410 and 115) but cabs are still needed but amp is still here people Forgot to say, i do travel to Birmingham a lot (Villa season ticket holder) so can arrange a drop off in that area

Not at all mate, im lookin at some of Thornybanks cabs so the rig might be back up. Anyway, the head is NOT the newer evo model (which are smaller, tolex covered and have a buit in compressor i believe). THis is UK built and has been gigged. Works fine but does have marker pen marks on the front to remember settings. Carpet a little bit bobbly but nothing major. Specs shamelessly stolen from one the same on ebay.... 307W RMS power Bass, middle, and treble controls Rotary controls for 15dB of cut/boost at 220Hz and at 1.6kHz Front panel shape switches for Bright and Deep settings Ashdown's acclaimed subharmonic generator for enhanced low-end response Active and passive bass inputs Effects send and return Tuner/line output Balanced DI output

FS/FT: Peavey MAX 450 (aka Nitrobass) and Ashdown MAG 115

Ive got here an old (english made) Ashdown rig consisting of:- Ashdown MAG 300 head (English made and NOT evo model) Ashdown MAG 410 deep (old style grille with carpet covering) Ashdown MAG 115 deep (old style grille with carpet covering) All in great condition. The 410 is a bit older and has a couple of very slight knocks but nothing major. The 115 is pretty imaculate. The head is fine other than a few marker pen marks to denote past settings. Ive recently developed major GAS for a Barefaced vintage to pair with my Hartke HA5500. So anyone has a Vintage and looking to do some kind of exchange for the above rig let me know. Will also maybe consider a Marshall DBS7152 cab. Pics to follow as soon as my kitten returns my camera memory card! Any questions please ask. Based in Bolton by the way. Cheers

Thats the badboy, cheers mate. Had recent GAS for something like this, just as a change from my 115 and 410 stack. I couldnt do without a 15, just play too bassy n punchy to do without one but do need the tens to help out on the riffs n fills. Looking at these (when i can find one) or the Ashdown ABM effort (BP1510)
