  1. Fab amp in fab condition, built 2022 according to the serial number but bought new March 2023. These heads work well with the new range of lightweight cabs and are a departure from the all yellow colour scheme which will please some folk. There is a really good mute switch on these, a toggle next to the master volume which sets the collar of the input socket blinking when engaged. Other than that, the photos are self explanatory but below is a copy and paste of the eq points, taken from the manual: EQUALIZATION LOW center frequency 68 Hz; level: ±16 dB MID LOW center frequency 360 Hz; level: ±16 dB MID HIGH center frequency 800 Hz; level: ±16 dB HIGH center frequency 10 kHz; level: ±16 dB OLD SCHOOL max cut range: 250 Hz – 20 kHz 3 WAY SWITCH flat/scooped-mid/FSW I have the original box and will include p&p in the asking or will meet up within 30 miles of M5 J24. Sorry no trades.
  2. I'm selling my Markbass 1x15 cab. It is a fabulous all round cab but hasn't left the house since I took possession of one of the new lightweight Energy cabs. According to the Markbass website: 1x15 400w 8ohm rear ported, piezo tweeter, 100dB SPL 16.3kg (but feels lighter- my observation, not Markbass) In great condition and includes a padded cover. These are great cabs in their own right, not just as extension cabs. I have driven it with a 58R Little Mark and never wanted for any more. £260 collected from within a 30 mile radius of J23 M5 or p&p included. Sorry no trades.
  3. Just bought a cab from Ian. Although it was secondhand it could easily have just arrived (brand new) from a retailer because it was basically in new condition and, what's more, it was in the original manufacturer's box too. Keeping the original packaging is good common sense I reckon. I had great comms from Ian from start to finish and would recommend him without reservation.
  4. The new Markbass cabs are outstanding and feel even lighter than stated weight. Ian is a top guy to deal with too.
  5. Recently met Dave at a halfway point and took cab off his hands. Had a 10 minute chinwag and was on my way. Great guy to deal with, absolutely true to his word and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone wishing to buy or sell to him.
  6. Everything that has been said about these cabs is true - they are loud and clear and do, without doubt, compete with a loud drummer. Fit and finish is excellent. Mine is a three months old and includes a padded cover. 11kg make it a very easy lift; this was one of the main attractions for me. However, I have come to realise that I have a long term addiction to coloured sounding cabs and the Monza is most certainly not in that ballpark. I realise that I could add a preamp/amp modelling/drive type pedal in order to modify the input but I have an aversion to pedals hence the 'For sale' ad here. The link to the website is here and the Monza spec is down the page: https://www.lfsys.co.uk/bassguitarproducts I have the original box and am including delivery in the price. No trades at this stage I'm afraid.
  7. I took delivery of my Monza a couple of weeks ago. It came straight out with me for a band rehearsal and then I did not get a chance to play through it properly again until earlier this evening. Here are my thoughts/opinions: The band comprises drums, guitar, bass, keys and two vocalists; we rehearse in a large meeting room that has pretty good acoustics due to a suspended ceiling. I would say we play at 4/5ths of a gig level. The Monza was quite astonishing. The cab it replaces is a Markbass 2x10 which I love for its warmth and character, the Monza is everything others have said - clean, clear, detailed but definitely not coloured. Stevie advised me to 'give it some wellie' so I did just that and could not believe how much air the thing was moving and how well I could hear myself as I moved around the room. This echoes what others have found with their Monzas. I had another play at home tonight at reasonable volume and I have to say that this cab is very classy. Although 'clean' sounding, it is by no means sterile nor does it ever get stressed as you push it. You can certainly tell that the components are of a very high standard. I would go as far as to say that they are good value for money!
  8. Bump and a one time price drop to £300 delivered.
  9. Bump and I should have said in my ad description that the cab is relatively light at 15kg and the recessed top handle makes it a very easy carry.
  10. Markbass TRV102p 400w 8ohm 2x10 bass cab. I bought this cab with the intention of adding an extension cab at some stage. I actually never needed to because it is a fab sounding cab as it is. Rear ported with piezo tweeter, 45Hz-18kHz 101db SPL. Sounds terrific with my Markbass LM58R head; pretty much all the power you'd need for most situations. In great condition complete with a Hot Covers padded cover, this cab has had a very easy life. I am including p&p in the price of £300 or will knock off the equivalent value if being collected. Also, happy to meet within 30 mile radius of J23 M5 in Somerset. No trades sorry.
  11. Paul bought an amp from me. Good comms and, more importantly, quick payment! I hope our paths cross again.
  12. My second transaction this year with Dave, as a seller once again. Always a quick response and great comms and, of course, he paid up quick! Top Basschatter.
  13. I bought this last December when they were on offer while waiting for the new Markbass heads to come out. I now have the Markbass so it is time to pass this on to someone else at a reasonable price. Plenty of oomph(although not 2000w as advertised I would say), a load of features including a half decent compressor, and in overall great condition(9.8/10). It is the mosfet version, not tube. Boxed and price includes delivery to UK address. No trades I'm afraid. £130 delivered.
  14. Bought an amp from Mike and couldn't believe how fast he despatched!! Lovely amp in perfect nick and I would recommend Mike as an honest and honourable Basschatter.
  15. A lot of cab for the money and Martyn is a great chap to deal with.
  16. I have one of these and it's brilliant! Why yours is still here I do not know!
  17. Just sold a bass to Dave and it was a very straightforward transaction from start to finish. Would happily do business with him again, either as seller or buyer.
  18. My goodness, over a decade since the last feedback! I have just bought a lovely Guy Pratt Betsy from this member and am happy to report that it was just as described, packed really well and Mark was very quick with responses throughout the transaction. Highly recommended!
  19. Sterling by Musicman short scale Stingray - White with rosewood fingerboard. These are great fun and a breeze to play. There is plenty of information about them on the 'net and a 150 or so page thread on Talkbass if you have a few days to spare! This one is pretty much immaculate and weighs in at under 8lbs. I have two new sets of Ernie Ball short scale strings that I am including and the gig bag that the bass came with. There are three pickup configurations - Parallel, series and single coil. All very usable and no hum. p&p is included to mainland UK or I'll meet up within 30 miles of M5 J23. Asking £500 no trades
