  1. Pleased you went for it - but a bit of a shame as this one is pretty much mint and not nearly as expensive. Such is life. Enjoy it!
  2. VGC, gigged only once, 'vintage bass amp in a pedal' - you will all know the hype on these amazing little preamp boxes. Very impressive pedal, but I am now happily married for life to my Jad Freer Capo. Happy to post/courier this, but will need to add postage on top, otherwise pick up in Sevenoaks, Kent or London EC1 (Tues-Thurs). Manufacturer's bumpf below: The Sound of Blues, Soul & Rock ‘N’ Roll The BASSRIG ’64 Black Panel is, quite simply, a complete vintage bass amp in a pedal. Based on Fender®’s Showman® and Bassman® amplifiers, we have used all-analogue circuitry to recreate a complete valve amp-style signal path, along with an all-analogue cabinet simulator, giving you the drive, grit and articulation of these classic amps in one small box. Back in the days before modern bass amps, achieving high stage volumes with bass guitar was a challenge that required powerful, clean amps. Nobody fills this niche quite like Fender®. Their high-powered amps – designed with guitar and bass in mind – graced countless stages and studios throughout the 1960s. The Showman®, with its 2×15 cabinets, and the later Bassman® models boast an illustrious list of users between them, including Sir Paul McCartney, Crazy Horse’s Billy Talbot and our own personal favourite, Berry Oakley of The Allman Brothers. In fact, a whole host of Fenders can be heard amplifying the bass on some of the greatest Soul and Rock ‘n’ Roll records of the ‘60s. At Origin Effects, we believe that this boundary-pushing era has given us some of history’s best bass tones. With XLR and ¼” outputs, the BASSRIG ’64 Black Panel will fit seamlessly into any signal chain, no matter how simple or complex, and our powerful Amp Out EQ tailors your sound to work with any amp, meaning you never have to compromise your clean tone.
  3. Ha! You're quite right. Those specs were from an earlier conversation with the luthier. It's matt olive indeed. (Military drab?). I'll correct above.
  4. Hello, yes it is pretty much a jazz neck, c. 37mm at the nut - but I wouldn't call the profile slim, it's got a bit more heft to it.
  5. I am unwilling to post as there's quite a lot of interest from local buyers already.
  6. Thanks! It's all built from scratch. The body is Alder, the neck maple. Here it is being made!
  7. Never gigged, ultra good condition Sterling Sub Stingray4 HH. NOW SOLD SORRY I'm sure you all know the huge, active, Stingray sound. Well, it's that. Collection preferable from Sevenoaks, TN13 (on M25) or Farringdon, London EC1 (Tues-Thurs). 8. Totally one of a kind bass built by Docwood (Davide Palumbo), a brilliant luthier creating vintage-style basses out of Palermo, Sicily. This beast has a GUILD BISONIC pickup at neck position for the fattest, muddiest vintage tones (just take a pick to that 😍) and a LOLLAR T-BIRD pickup at "P" position. This was built for me in 2023 primarily as a recording bass and has never been gigged. It cost €2050 Euros. Almost immaculate except for very light belt buckle mark on rear (pic attached). Has Gotoh hardware and a Hipshot D-tuner. Would rather not post/courier this. Preferably to collect from Sevenoaks (on M25) or from London EC1 (near Farringdon tube). - alder body, matte olive/military drab finish - custom black pickguard - guild bs1 pickup - lollar tbird pickup - vol/ vol/ tone wiring - maple neck + pearl binding & blocks - hipshot dtuner - gotoh clover 70s style tuners - gotoh high mass bridge Check out Docwood's other guitars at https://www.instagram.com/docwoodguitars/
  9. I'm an idiot and posted this in LH Basses. Apologies. Have moved, but no idea how to delete this.
  10. Gorgeous, 2022 Reverend Mercalli 5-string in midnight black. Very, very good condition. Never gigged. Kept in smokeless studio. One tiny dint in the paintwork (see pic). Very fat, vintage-sounding, passive bass with huge range of tones from P-bass to J-bass and more of a MusicMan vibe too. Check out the Andy Irvine demo below. I bought this for £1049 in 2022 - it's always been a LOT of bass for the retail price alone - so this is really a HUGE BARGAIN. Selling alongside a number of basses to save up for a vintage Fender P 😊. Would rather not send by post/courier, but happy to discuss. Ideally - COLLECTION ONLY from SEVENOAKS, KENT (on M25) or LONDON EC1 (near Farringdon tube). Doesn't come with gig bag. body: Korina Solidbody pickups: Thick Brick 5 bridge, Split Brick 5 neck bridge: String-thru-body or Top-load, 3/4" spacing neck: 5-Piece Roasted Maple/Walnut scale: 34" neck profile: Medium Oval fingerboard: Rosewood - 12" Radius frets: 21 Frets truss rod: Dual Action, Headstock Access tuners: Hipshot Ultralight, 1/2" Dia. 12. Hey all, I was once a subscriber here, but that password has disappeared on a dusty digital shelf somewhere in the ether. Rejoining in part to sell some guitars and free up some space in my bass shed (I'll post those later). But also to say hello, and if they are any folk looking to collaborate in SE England / Kent, I'm a proficient maker of weird noises (love my pedals) and I produce, mix and record to a fairly competent degree as I was lucky enough to get paid to do that for half a decade back in the 2000s. These days I'm just a happy amateur again and a prodigious noodler. Anyway, hello.
