Please find for sale my Orange OBC115 Cabinet and Orange Flight case (This cost me £320 about 6 months ago - so get a bargain - its too cumbersome to go in my van!) This is rated at 400W RMS at 8 Ohms. Sounds lovely with the AD200B (MK3) and may do a deal if you want to buy both Amp and Cab as in the picture. Collection from Barnoldswick in Lancashire.

Please find for sale my Fender Signature Flea Bass. This plays as good as a lot of custom shop basses and is well documented as such. I bought this as a backup to my '63 Jazz Bass, however it never gets used and sits in its case. I've too many guitars now so I'm looking to shift this on. I mean I could say it's immaculate - but it comes from the manufacturer a bit knocked about so I cant really say anything - however I've not added any dings! I've made a couple of modifications - I've added an original BADASS II Bridge which made a big difference, I've also added a switch to the pickups to switch from Parallel to Series. The switching this makes it sound a little more like a precision. I don't have a case for this as I have a double case for two guitars when gigging... I can include a cheap Amazon special gig bag however. Located in Lancashire Any questions - please do ask.

I'm having a clear out - I've too many guitars and equipment so please check my other adverts! For sale is my Warwick Thum Neck Through - 4 String. Serial D-106303-04 This bass doesn't really need any introduction - hand made in Germany in the early 2004., Not sure if you could call it a Boutique - maybe ... but it sounds and plays as good as anything. I said I'd never sell this - but I've got my eye on more gear and its cheaper to sell then get a divorce. The guitar is in absolutely immaculate condition. I drove down to South Wales for this guitar and it had been stored in its original Warwick RockCase (included) under a bed most of its life. I paid £2500 for it. Only thing I've changed on it was to upgrade the tuners to GOTOH as the originals are prone to breaking. I really have looked after this guitar. Collection from Lancashire please. Lee

Played a 60th Birthday Party at the Shooters Arms in Burnley last night. Rammed. Debuted my new (to me) 69 Precision Bass. Sounded perfect in some of the Jam / Clash numbers we play 👍

Ha, that’s what I’ve decided on. Been emailing Alex at BF to organise it 😂

That’s great, thanks! It was pretty much the way I was going to go - the matching “look” was all that was potentially swaying me but that was my heart ruling my head . As it happens my other amp I referred to is a GK Fusion 800S so nice to hear it works with a BF too 👍

Hi All, I’m looking for a new cab for my AD200B. I play in a punk covers band were we play anything from The Clash, The Jam, Sex Pistols to REM and Greenday. Ive been running an AD200B as my main amp into a Big Twin 2 (Gen 3) pictured below. The reason I have that cab was that originally I was going down the modelling route and wanted an FRFR cab powered through the power stage of another amp I own. I’m sorry to say the head actually supasses the modelled version (to my ears anyway) so I’m returning to an old faithful setup of head and cab. The big twin 2 is immense, but I’m looking for a bit more warmth / colouration from a set of cabs that are not FRFR to get more of a vintage sound. Cab will be up for sale when decision made! Does anyone have any real world examples of playing an AD200B through any of the following cab options and could recommend? Barefaced 410T Barefaced 210T (may add this on later if I go for the 410 so I can run a modular 610) Orange OBC410 2x Orange OBC115. videos / sound clips would be perfect! Cheers Lee

Having a bit of a clear out, I've decided to put my 5 String Warwick LX Jazzman up for sale. This was professionally re-finished and serviced by the Happy Mondays guitar tech in Manchester at the beginning of the year by Rigby Guitars in Manchester. As a result it's absolutely immaculate. Comes with gold hardware and custom knobs. Also includes the original gig bag and case candy. Reluctant to post guitars after a bad experience once, however happy to drive half way to meet someone for petrol money from Lancashire.

Please find for sale my Spector NS-2. I'm looking to buy an early original Jazz bass so open to trades if interested. The bass was purchased by me a year ago. It plays beautifully however I've decided to let it go for reasons above. The bass is immaculate apart from a small white blemish on the neck which I've shown in the photo's. Everything else however is beautiful. Comes with original case. Comes with a Hipshot tuner on the E string - original tuner is included also if you wish to swap it back. The woodstock era basses are hand built using the finest grade woods available. Headstock is individually signed and dated. Any questions please let me know. I'm very reluctant to post this, but can meet a seller half way depending on distance for fuel money. Based in Lancashire. Thanks

1972 Jazz Bass - Verification of a few things
TheStarsmith replied to TheStarsmith's topic in Bass Guitars
Hi all, quick update. I was still interested in the bass and tried to renegotiate the price down using this thread as a basis for it. Unfortunately it seems it wasn't something they were prepared to do and they will be sending my deposit back. I've since found a numbers matching '73 Bass in original case for £1000 less so "every cloud." Thanks for everyone's advice. I'll be putting my NS-2 up for sale soon. Thanks Lee -
1972 Jazz Bass - Verification of a few things
TheStarsmith replied to TheStarsmith's topic in Bass Guitars
Thanks all. I'm a bit gutted as my heart set on it, however there's a few too many question marks over it. I'll forward the thread on to the guys at BD tomorrow. I wanted a black Jazz with the 4 bolt neck. With me thinking is was a 72 I thought the earlier the better with build quality - I'd heard horror stories with the 3 bolt neck and build quality issues mid 70's. This looks like it's encroaching into '74 territory and with the re-finish and wrong pick guard, you're correct it's probably too expensive for what it is. They'd also agreed to take my Spector NS-2 in part-ex which sweetened the deal for me, but with it being immaculate and a woodstock era bass, I think, i'd be foolish to do that... even if I can't get on with the Spector. Thanks for your advice. Lee -
1972 Jazz Bass - Verification of a few things

That's very kind of you, thanks both! -
Hello all, I'm new here and would appreciate some advice. I've been playing for about 20 years on and off and I've finally found a vintage Jazz bass that i'm really interested in. I've put a sizable deposit down on it and would be grateful of someone could just verify a few bits on it please before I drive for three hours and treat the family to a night in a hotel at great expense! The bass is advertised as an "all original" 1972 bass, however the numbering on the neck doesn't seem to use the same stamp type I've seen on other Jazzes of the era. The "bullet" of the truss road doesn't look the same either. Also, the neck pocket is painted which "may" suggest that it has been re-finished and although the guitar does have newer pickups, the original pickups are included but i'm questioning the potentiometers, they don't look original . The serial also suggests a 73-74 bass as opposed to a 72. Are my concerns justified, or am I needlessly worrying? I'm sure the person selling the bass will be an active member on the site, and they have been courteous and helpful.. this post isn't a reflection on them.. I'm just doing due diligence as I would with any big purchase of something I'm not necessarily clued up about. Full advert is here : https://reverb.com/uk/item/82269749-fender-jazz-bass-1972-black Many thanks in advance for any information thrown my way. Cheers
