We recently Auditioned a new Drummer for our covers band, And let him pick 6 tracks to learn from the set... IMO its as much an audition for us as well as the drummer. LB.
I've got a lefty 2008 Indonesian made Squier PJ.In terms of build quality, finish and playability I can't fault it,and I have used it in preference to my 78 Fender P,as it's a lot lighter. And black. The pickups are the weak spot, slot in some aftermarket pickups and in my opinion you'll have a very good bass.
I did exactly that, with my 2004 Squier PJ. And also put on some flatwounds-awesome It's my no1 go to bass. wouldnt ever part with it

Has Anyone Ever Played In This Pub ?
LeftyBiskit replied to WHUFC BASS's topic in General Discussion
I can assure you it is, I've driven past it lots of times(at speed ) even the taxis wont pick up from there-that place is just for the locals/gyppos. should've been bulldozed years ago. -
Aria Pro II (Magna 5-string) - Wiring problem
LeftyBiskit replied to Mr P's topic in Repairs and Technical
I've had a couple of Aria's including the Magna 5er and i'm pretty sure that they had a 3way selector switch for the pick ups -neck-both-bridge. Trev -
Ahh thats how it works is it-fuzz before filter. I'll be sure to try that out later. thank's for that nice vids on you tube btw.

I'd give the Graphic Fuzz a very wide berth-I had one, sounds like it looks -Sh&%e(can I say that on here )

I had the Boss ODB-3 for a while and i managed to get the sound you are looking for with it(well to my ears anyway) now bear with me on this-its been a while since I had this pedal If memory serves me correct-I had the Balance Knob ALL the way over to OD,and the GAIN ALL the way down to Min(or vice versa)nope now I think about it balance knob all the way over to dry and the gain to max. roll off the Highs,And boost the bass to around 10 o clock. (adjust the EQ settings to taste) That could do it for you-but like i said it's been a while. hope this helps. Trev.

Evening low enders just expanding on the OP-now that I'm down with my filters- I'm looking for to expand on the use of my envelope filter(s)with a fuzz/distortion pedal. ie one that I can use in conjunction with my Proton or my FT-2. are there only certain fuzz pedals that can be triggered by the proton/ft-2 or is it something totally different, I know that the stuff from Chunk systems works together but is this just these two pedals that it works with. my current signal chain is TU2-Proton-BSW-FT-2-BBM-Ibanez Digital Chorus-CS3-LMB3-Amp do I need another pedal of some sorts? feel free to offer advice/ridicule-believe me it will be welcome

Bass,first+,2nd, wandered over to Sax briefly, then back to Bass-ics and stayed there. Unlike the talented cleverclogs my youngest has turned out to be-Drums,Guitar,Bass,Keys and Ukelele- and he plays them really well too! he now has gas for a Banjo(oh to be 16 again) Trev
