  5. Location- Wirral, Northwest UK Condition- Really well kept with no marks Purchased this after first owning a Farida bass and acknowledging what great guitars these are: guitar or bass, both half the price of their Fender counterparts (of which, the acoustics are made in the same factory as Farida acoustics) and really feel greater in build and sound. Their style is perhaps questionable BUT don't judge books by their covers 😉👍🏻 Farida states: The Farida CT-32 electric guitar in black is an outstanding model that benefits from carefully selected tonewoods, a high-level of craftsmanship, versatile electronics, and reliable hardware. Whether you’re a skilled professional, an amateur enthusiast, or are completely new to the instrument, the CT-32 establishes a feeling of familiarity very quickly, making this model a joy to play, whatever your level of experience may be. The CT-32 body shape features sleek contours, uniquely carved double-cutaways, and bevelled edges to ensure a slender and comfortable playing feel. The upper bout slopes off to yield a subtle rest for your picking arm, allowing you play with ease. Farida has employed solid alder as the body tonewood. Noted for its balanced tonality, alder expresses a timbre that is filled with deep lows, dense mids, and crisp highs. It is also a lightweight tonewood, which means that you can comfortably wield the CT-32 for extended periods of time. Fitted to the body is a supple maple neck, which is shaped to a slim and accommodating profile to encourage a fast-playing feel. Married to the neck is a sumptuous rosewood fingerboard that carries 22-frets, which are adorned with clay dot position inlays to guide your fingers in style. The headstock carries Kluson nickel tuning machines that work tirelessly to maintain tuning integrity, whilst the fixed bridge keeps strings securely anchored for accurate intonation. The heart of the Farida CT-32’s vintage tone lies in the pairing of P-90-style single-coil pickups – fitted in both the neck and bridge positions. The creamy warmth of the P-90s guarantees a smooth output, and given a push, they respond with an energy that is suited to heavier musical styles. Control over the pickups comes in the form of a three-way pickup selector, which enables you to independently select the neck or bridge pickup, or combine both for a fuller output. Each pickup has individual volume and tone pots, which enable you to shape the output with incredible precision. Whatever style of music you are tackling, you have more than enough firepower and versatility at your fingertips to let your creativity soar. If you’re looking for a guitar that looks cool, produces lush vintage-style tones, and plays like a dream, then the Farida CT-32 electric guitar is the perfect choice. 6. Price - £235 UK delivered or £175 collected Location- Wirral, Northwest UK Condition- used but fully working Hey guys, Up for grabs is a fantastic little bass, a Farida JTB-13M. I believe this bass was originally black but has been refinished in a nitro silver, so it will turn "RoadWorn" with a great black base. Quite a groovy bass. I can't really rate this bass enough for the value of money, somewhat to Fender Mexican standards for half the price, even the fretboard feels better than my Fender Precision. Sound is phenomenal too. Would keep but I simply don't use it anymore and would love to sell it on to someone who'd rock it. Description from the site: The Farida JTB-13M Electric Bass Guitar in black has the look and feel of a modern classic, along with a sonic output that is both powerful and versatile. The contoured body has an offset waist design, which makes it a joy to play whilst seated, or in a standing position. Farida has employed a solid tonewood to give the bass a reassuringly substantial feel in the hands, but retains a lightweight and easy to play comfortability. The body is finished with cool and sophisticated black, with a matching black pickguard – to provide protection against unwanted pick scrapes and playing rash. Chrome hardware has been employed throughout, complementing the already impressive aesthetic. The JTB-13M is fitted with a responsive maple neck that has been shaped to a slender profile that allows your fretting hand to glide along with ease. Paired with the neck is a 20-fret maple fingerboard, with ABS white position inlays to guide your way. The maple/maple partnership infuses each and every note with a high degree of articulation, so that each one rings out with the utmost clarity. The deep double-cutaways make it incredibly easy to reach all parts of the neck and fingerboard. The headstock is home to standard open-gear tuning machines that work tirelessly to uphold tuning integrity throughout each and every performance. A pair of single-coil pickups translates the character of the tonewoods, with EQ control handled by a Master Tone pot. Each pickup has an independent volume knob, and by deftly adjusting each one, you are give a vast tonal universe to explore. Whether you’re looking for a tight, fat, heavy, clean, or muddy tone, these pickups can aid you in your quest for perfection. If you’re looking for a superior electric bass that is great in the studio or on the road, the Farida JTB-13M has the looks and tones to deliver with aplomb. 7. Hello from the other side of the pond. So what brought you to BassChat? Have you been playing long/about to start? Let us know a little about Kullboys 😁 Welcome to the forum and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Big Smoke
  8. @Cuzzie I hand it to you brother as you both play bass and sing (I'm sure others do too!) But I've seen a few of your videos and they're not exactly slow or easy bass lines to be doing both playing and singing. You're a exceptionally talented guy! I've managed to get ~30 songs in the bag, down to the original recording and hoping it will show in rehearsal the effort I've put in getting these songs down to the most intricate of parts too. It's all coming along with time but being dumped with the entire catalogue of songs had been rather overwhelming. I have raised that we start at rehearsal getting at least a few songs down tight than to have a sloppy 15-20 songs quickly ran through. @Ricky 4000 is spot on about anxiety and I wouldn't consider myself an anxious person generally. This 'friend' has definitely put a lot of pressure on me to perform how I had in the past to be head hunted to be asked to join the band and I'm slowly overcoming this feat, to perform as good as I have. Again, thank you all Inc @geoham @mikel @Monkey Steve for your sound words and advice
  9. Location- Wirral, Northwest UK Or add £30 for insured, tracked and next-day delivery. Price: £1750 Value - £1500 Sale no trades, no offers. Hey guys, Sticking the feels out for this beautiful, Japanese made, Yamaha bass. I got this last year off @karlfer and between us, have kept it in pristine condition. Everything as new from the factory, including special pickup casing, cat stickers, CD case, paperwork and Yamaha hardcase. Absolutely fantastic bass and put together by an artist who certainly knows his beans on making a modern Pbass (without needing an active EQ!) Some real detail goes into making these basses and the Attitude 3 bass being a refined edition to stand the test of time now for this artist model. Recently come to get my hands on my dream BB's and I just can't sit and watch this beauty gather dust and go without use. So I'm sticking £1500 on this and not willing to let it go for any less. Not looking to trade unless something in Yamaha form and sure to tickle my fancy but with cash my way. DiMarzio Willpower & Model 1, drop D, stereo/mono, scalloped frets etc 9lb 7oz Any questions, fire away. No offers. Limited trades only. Big Smoke
  10. Working in Dawson's alone already ticks that box 😂 been the second bass offered in 2 weeks and you know how the last conversation went with the Mrs 😂😂😂 you're a bad bad man. You'd think the 1024x wouldn't look too dissimilar from the other BBs for the Mrs to know you've got a new one haha.
  11. Not worked well then? Same here 😂🙌🏻 Right now I've got @AndyTravis offering me a BB and the d**khead knows I'm going to probably fall out with the Mrs over it but will no doubt end up with it 😂😂😂 evil man. The BB Brothers of BassChat. Awww my babies, my pride and joy. I will leave a review (hoping maybe for a video) but hard finding the words to write down to describe just what I'm feeling. Still a sin to have pride? Noticed you've not got any Yamaha's at the moment Al, I know a guy selling a BB if that helps? 😂
  12. Some fantastic comments made on here and I'm honestly choked up by ALL of the responses. Thank you all kindly and I've made note of all things mentioned to put into place. I do partly blame myself, being a perfectionist and I know my anxiety can have a field day on that alone but this seemed something to have been bothering me, I felt quite against picking up the bass to practice this week, knowing with the pressure, I wouldn't enjoy it. Not wanting to come across like a wimpy kid complaining "it's too much" either, if some of you already play that many or more or if some of you guys are like @Ricky 4000, playing 'what is hip' then I'd have nothing to complain about 😂 but this is my first time for me actually joining a band, premade, with such a catalogue of songs to get on with- and no wonder I've felt this way by the reactions posted on this thread. *Update* I went along tonight, felt a bit tense at first after a week of having these songs to conquer but in all fairness, we plugged in, tuned up and I was asked for what songs I wanted to do. I thought I'd just tell them to let me know what song and I'd do as best as I could to the songs they play. All went well, sat out another complex song but the rest all played well, a few bum notes but I actually enjoyed myself by the end of the night. We spoke about a setlist after I mentioned how many songs there were, feeling a little anxious about it. They had said in all respects that they sent me the list to know what to expect and that they've used certain songs for different gigs/events, venues and depending on what bands they were also playing with to make it work for them. We're going to make a setlist this week, drop a few songs off the list as well as adding a few new ones so we're all on the same page. I do feel less anxious about things now. Still quite a shock to the system but having put off playing this past week, I'm going to get back on it this week and try and do my best.
  13. Hey guys and girls, I've recently been head hunted to join a band from someone who knew me from seeing bands I've played in before. After a few failed attempts to get my own bands going over the past few years, I decided to give it a go at one practice with them and I seemed to get on well all the members and with a fair share of the songs on their list but I've been given about 40-50 songs to learn in all and no certain set list to follow. I've not always been an anxious person but over the last few weeks I've been struggling trying to learn these songs whilst doing what i do out of practice time. These guys have been playing just shy of 3 years and have got a really tight formation on the songs- from practicing over that time and they sound well but I worry about myself, often wonder if I'm letting them down with bum notes trying to remember all the songs and riffs correctly and once or twice sitting songs out I'm really not comfortable playing just yet. Has anyone else been in this situation? Is it normal to feel this way? Am I putting myself under a lot of pressure in such a short time to perfect so many songs? I'm off to practice with them again tonight, going to give it my all but going to try and sit down with them and at least come up with a setlist to make things easier for me.
  14. So many lovely Yamaha's on here, I really shouldn't be looking but my god.... Shut up and take my money 😂🙈
  15. I love the conversation to yourself justifying it... All too familiar with me, not sure about anyone else 😂 A lovely little collection and variety between each model. Hope you're enjoying the fretless, Yamaha's are great instruments and seems like it's made a fretless correctly. No expoxy glue on the fretboard? 😂
  16. That's a beauty! Keep the burst 😁👍🏻 how've you found it so far?
  17. Daft what switching tuners can do, I noticed this with some Hipshot ultralites on a standard Mexican Pbass I've got.... Not only that but they tuned better too! 3 birds with one stone (Inc a happy back!) 😁🙌🏻
  18. Totally, I have some major love for my BB1025 for it's tone and resonance but it's a hell of a heavy bass in my collection, practically a tree with strings attached. Maybe I'll go for a light gauge of 5 strings 😉 hahaha 😂🍻
  19. For the record, I'm not knocking Sire basses. I think they're fantastic basses and if they were around 15 years ago when I started playing active 5 strings and before my back problems, I'd have had a few in my collection for sure. If you can get one, please don't hesitate. A great investment
  20. Eh, the pots, knobs, switches, wiring, 2x 9V batteries and battery doors.... Soon all add up and probably more than you think. Might not be much but considering it's unnecessary weight for me and to my preferences anyway, it's something that would save me a bad back and hopefully a few quid in my pocket 😁 I'm not just being a grumpy old man, i do suffer with muscular scoliosis, so yes, my shoulder and back don't take to some basses as much as the next guy does. This video does explain a little bit more.
  21. On the neck with the blocks, Is it just me who thinks they reflect more than usual? Possible fretboard stickers?
  22. This is true but pointless me having something that won't be used and added weight to what I've been told is already a heavy bass.
  23. Looks a tasty bass and for not being a vintage/Custom Shop Fender I think you'll enjoy it more, if you're like myself to worry about vintage or expensive equipment getting scratches or dents. The gigs at the Dog and Duck not going too well? 😜
  24. You're right... They aren't D'Addario's. I haven't used Elixirs in so long to know they're them, so can only take Yamaha's word but are nice strings and still sound great through the bass and should last longer 😁✌🏻
