Fantastic job you've done there. Looks great π What are friends for, if not for free basses? πππ» -
Beautiful story and I'm so happy for you mahn! Such a pretty bass too π
-
@AndyTravisvery nice, hoping you like the BBP34/5 so I could potentially perk this off you when you sell up ππ€£

Stew, if I ever head down that way on a little break, it would be fab to see you, hear your band and have a noodle on this beaut of a bass ππ» top man! I'd love to age this bass though, get some nice "road warn" feel to it and have a great bass, at a great price and like yourself, my next go to instrument. I just love a precision bass. What sort of stuff do you play and what's your setup?
-
Great little basses I believe... I've said in another topic how I'd favour this over a Pino π For me personally, I'd go without the covers but that's just me. If they don't get in the way, go for it.... Just make us a video as I'd love to see more of this bass and how it sounds and plays, as I am tempted myself by oneπππ»

Great sounding bass and a great funky little bassist for it too... Would I buy it? For a price between Β£2,000-Β£3,000... Can't say I could justify it. Β£1600 and I might take a bite. However, a passive Musicman is great news.. @Cuzzie I might have to put those Sandberg's on hold brother πππ

Welcome to the forum and I hope you stay for more than FX π

Ashdown just tend to making a flop with anything that isn't an amp..

Thought for a moment they started you off young π bless her, she's going to be the next Ida Nielsen then? πππ» Yeah, heavier strings will get you some nice low end rumble without your strings slacking too much and the sound of floppy strings being picked up. I'm sure as you come to upgrade you'll notice the difference with other basses and downtuning, especially going for 35" or multiscale basses. Pbass all the way though, I started off on a Westfield and loved it, can't go wrong and hope you and little Grace keep up the good work!

White kid though? If so, I swear he moved to Chester and hasn't changed. Only, he's "off on tour to America next week" looking for an acoustic that comes with a hardcase πππ
-
Cat approves? How are you getting on with a 6 string? What are you mainly playing on it? Looking to get one myself soon, perhaps not an Ibanez but a 6'er of sorts π

Some good names there πππ» does bring back memories of when I did name my own but sadly not in the recent years have I named any... Largely due to selling most I had and seemed pointless building an unnecessary attachment to them.
-
On the contrary, I have named some guitars in the past but not in a long time. Just brand or model names is how I identify them now.
-
Naming guitar shop customers.... Now that's a game we could play. πππ My fave was 'shitkid'/'spectrum' who used to interfere with high ticket sales with things like "have you heard this song before?"
-
Expensive, but worth it?
-
Get me a Bass Collection Bruce Thomas model for a fraction of the price and I'd be happy πππ»

Soooooo many artists π poor guys. Tim Commerford for one, on top of my list.

Owned and played many short scales in my time, really enjoyed the Gibson SG basses but always found what came practical for me in bands and comfort was a long scale (built like a brick stinky poo house!) But the shorties were really fun to play. Fender Mustangs are a good one to go to, too. Some fun designs and colours π There are some 'travel' or Ukulele acoustic basses as well, anything from Taylor, Ibanez, Kala and other brands, worth checking out if you enjoyed the acoustic.

Hey Rob, Don't worry about coming here to ask questions, you've come to the right place. Hope you enjoy the forum and don't feel too bad you blew 21 years on the wrong type of guitar πππ

It is indeed! Well spotted πππ» It's a Yamaha Billy Sheehan Attitude 2, 25th anniversary model. Really nice basses, whether you're a fan of Billy or not π I'd love to see some of your basses, seeing as you're an avid collector by the sound of things

Welcome to BassChat dude, hope you enjoy it here, seems we all have something in common to talk about πππ» Naming basses... Used to, don't anymore... But that may change over time haha What about yourself? What names have you came up with and for what instruments?
