  1. Hey Craig, welcome to BassChat. How are you getting on with the squirt for grunge and metal then? Good in stock condition or consider mods? 😊
  2. @Cuzzie here's that musician bass I was on about
  3. Looking good... How much would they sell for, if a BBP is good enough? 😉😉
  4. Nice catch, never really played many Encore guitars and enjoyed them. Something about them just felt cheap and never sound great... But then I only started playing early 00's and perhaps Encore was a different thing by then. This looks awesome though and I'm sure a great little player, enjoy dude 😁
  5. Not Hipshot Kickass then? For a Yamaha anyway.
  6. I'm guessing everyone has eyed up their favourite Fender and wondering how to time travel or are they available now at a better rate? More finishes? How do they compare for you?
  7. Being totally honest, I didn't go that far back... I was looking at the early 00's when I started playing and seeing how much some of these instruments sell for now, secondhand and in some cases beat up.... Some still selling more than they did almost 20 years ago. I guess going back across the decades there was a lot to appreciate, Inc the typical living wage, how these instruments were manufactured, their retail price and even how available they were. I guess there's probably about the same amount of guitar shops open, with top end instruments on the high Street now as there was in the 60's and that's with the internet aside. Would I own an original 50's/60's/70's Fender? As much as I would love to, probably not, they're fantastic instruments n'all, I'd be too paranoid of damaging or having it stolen for sentimental value but that's just me 😅
  8. You could seriously cry with not buying some of these guitars and prices at the time... If only to stick under your bed for a rainy day and make a pretty penny on today's market prices 😂🙈
  9. Welcome to the forum, Sebasstian.... Sorry, I had to 😂🙈 Kudos to your friend for the recommendation and kudos to yourself for joining us all on a great little forum, I hope you enjoy it here and that it serves you well.
  10. Salut! Welcome to the forum and keep up the practice, I'm sure you'll be an excellent player soon enough 😁
  11. Welcome to the forum Harry, seems to me you're on the ball with everything bass wise and some lovely bits of gear too. Hope you enjoy the forum 😁
  12. 67 years young, I believe 😉 welcome to BassChat and hope you enjoy the forum as much as your bass playing.
  13. Welcome to BassChat Chewie, seems like you're already enjoying bass and the forum, so hoping to see more of you about 😁👍🏻
  14. Welcome Judi, hope you keep up the good work and to see Ultimate Floyd around 😁 In the meantime, welcome to BC and I hope you enjoy the forum as much as we all do.
  15. Passive basses all the way here 😅 too many dead/faulty batteries at gigs... Pre dating active/passive switches as well. 4th and 5th Yamaha basses. I tried these both not long ago, fell in love with everything about them... I just forgot to play in front of a mirror to check out the size hahaha
  16. When I get mine, I'm more than happy for you to give it a whirl.
  17. Always been in this camp, mostly due to being built like an Ape and my arms are too long to play high up like Paul McCartney 😂 .... Not going to lie... Still a metal head and love to thrash around hahaha I do suffer with muscular scoliosis, I've truly been blessed with my height too but does wearing your bass so high up actually benefit your back? Both in the burst 👌🏻 just worried they'll look tiny on me now haha.
  18. I can definitely say the BB1025 is a broad thing. Not sure about the 200/400 series he's got. Perhaps with it being a cheaper bass? Colour? Worried about my BBP34+35 I've got on order now 😂🙈
  19. 6'6" here This guy's got to be taller than me unless he's just a pure lanky F'er 😂
  20. Darryl Craig Harris? I saw it too... He's always been useless and quite a generic and sloppy bass player (recalling videos from when he was a Cort Artist, bummed Marcus Miller Fenders and now Yamaha.) Honestly don't know why he's been taken on and especially for NAMM when his product knowledge is appalling 😂🙈
  21. Any news from NAMM regarding any new Yamaha basses?
  22. Price: £200 collected Condition: used, could do with new fuse. New EHX valves fitted (13/03/2019) Location: Eastham, Wirral.
