Because, although it looks 'rock/metal', the diversity in cosmetics to sound is just phenomenal and massively versatile from deep growling, chugging metal riffs or funky slap bass and even smooth jazz bass tones... this will be a good run for your money if you're just starting bass, new to 5 string or just fancy something to play with.
