For sale is my 2012 Gibson RD Bass released for Krist Novoselic, of Nirvana fame, for the 20th anniversary release of Nevermind. This is a limited edition model with only so many available worldwide and doesn't seem to be looking like a model/design that will be returning for some time!!! [b]Specs:[/b] Maple body with Ebony nitrocellulose finish Maple neck with comfortable, rounded profile Obeche fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays Pair of Seymour Duncan Hot Stack STK-J2 pickups in the neck and bridge Grover™ Shamrock tuners with 20:1 tuning ratio Gibson hardcase Hipshop SuperTone Bass Bridge (original 3-point bridge included) Bass Guitar Magazine (UK) with bass review inside. Dunlop Straplok's [b]Condition:[/b] The bass is in really good condition with only a light scratch on the face of the body (there when purchased) it has been used but always kept in great care. Same goes for the hardcase which is in great condition considering it's meant to get marked and scuffed up. [b]Mods:[/b] Hipshot supertone: Ever tried setting up a Gibson 3-point bridge? if not, try it and you'll know why this bit of kit has been added. With this bridge, it's easy to set up and helps it sing like never before. Jim Dunlop Straplok's, Chrome: There's a reason why these are expensive than most and that's because you won't find your strap failing and dropping your expensive basses on the floor and crying yourself to sleep at night. Positioned on the bottom of the bass and upper 'horn' for better stability and weight management. I think a precision body and jazz pickups is quite cool though.

    Hey guys, Done my usual rounds on Bass Direct and stumbled across something I've never seen before: and not seen an awful about on here. Pavel - Tzack bass, Deluxe 4. Just wondered what people make of this brand, as well as, history and quality of these instruments? I want to call it an Alembic copy but I know so little, I don't know if it is or whether it came before Alembic. Hahaha. Seems a lovely piece of wood and good hardware and electronics but couldn't say it would be something I'd purchase without trying in person. By all means, supply any pictures of basses or instruments you've got or owned by Pavel. BSB

    Chris Wolstenholme just called and said he wants his bass back 😂 I joke but damn. This is such a lovely bass and definitely one for MUSE fans now he uses them with the LED's Worth every penny, don't miss out! 👍🏻

    I've not tried the Musicman Classic, either, but I do love the AVRI's, especially the Pbasses. The only thing I see different about the Classics is the string mutes and different maple necks(?). Is there anything additional compared to today's standard model?

    Personally? I'd wait and check the marketplace on here. You say you can get "a better bass later" but for £200, you could get yourself something now to last quite some time. Ibanez, Squier, Yamaha.... There's a few that do the P/J confit that turn up here often enough and at bargain prices. I WOULDN'T go for a Stagg, at least try before you buy and try an expensive bass too to get a feel for what to expect and compare models to.
