Hi, welcome to my sale page. For sale is my 2014 Jackson 5 string JS series Concert bass in Silverburst. This has to be one of my favourite active 5 strings upto now. Because, although it looks 'rock/metal', the diversity in cosmetics to sound is just phenomenal and massively versatile from deep growling, chugging metal riffs or funky slap bass and even smooth jazz bass tones... this will be a good run for your money if you're just starting bass, new to 5 string or just fancy something to play with. Specs: 5-string Concert bass body style - Indian cedro body Bolt-on maple neck - 34" scale length Nut - 1.75" width Indian rosewood fingerboard - 24 jumbo frets Compound neck radius - 12" - 16" MOTO shark fin position inlays Jackson active humbucking pickups Jackson Active EQ. Controls - Neck Volume, Bridge Volume, Bass, Mid, and Treble controls Jackson high-mass bridge Jackson non-locking tuners Dunlop Straplok- locking straplock system. Black to match hardware Condition: The bass is in almost new condition with very little play time and no signs of wear. However, I have lost the truss cover but shouldn't cost much to replace via eBay or any Fender/Jackson retailer. Comes with no gigbag or case- but I can include one for delivery. The bass has recently been setup and strung with D'Addario's which fit snug as a bug and really gives the bass some justice in tones. Pictures: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u70l7rm84r58tcg/AAB8z7xDA6qqk43Ybem1O02Ba?dl=0 Price/Trades: I'm after £200 sale price. Not looking to sell for any less as this is a really good bass and deserves to be worth more haha. No trades at the moment. Collection/Delivery: The bass is on the Wirral, Cheshire and collection would be preferred. However, delivery is down to buyer to pay for but I do know some fast and reputable companies to go with. Thank you for reading my page, I hope you enjoyed it and possibly hear from you soon. Hi, welcome to my sale page. For sale is my 2015 Yamaha TRBX305 in Pewter. Such a lovely bass but the reason for sale is just I don't get on with active basses anymore. The bass is such a smooth 5 string in sound and feel and a fantastic construction for that too, including a 5 piece neck and a mahogany body. You know you can't go wrong with the Yamaha brand. Specs: Bolt-on neck 34" (863.6 mm) scale length Mahogany body Maple/Mahogany 5pcs neck Rosewood fingerboard w/ 23 5/8" (600 mm) radius 24 Medium frets Urea nut Width @ 0 Fret / 12th Fret 43.0 / 63.4 mm Thickness @ 1st Fret / 12th Fret 20.5 / 22.5 mm Neck Pickup Double Coil / Ceramic Bridge Pickup Double Coil / Ceramic Controls: Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, 2-BAND EQ(Bass,Treble), 5 Position Lever Switch for Performance EQ Die-cast bridge String spacing 18mm Covered Diecast Tuning Machines D'Addario strings 0.045-0.130 (5 strings) Condition: The bass is in almost new condition with very little play time and no signs of wear. Comes with no gigbag or case- but I can include one for delivery. The bass has recently been setup and strung with D'Addario's which fit snug as a bug and really gives the bass some justice in tones. Pictures: will be updated soon. Price/Trades: I'm after £200 sale price, this is a fair price for the £360 I paid new. I think any less is a rip off for such a fantastic instrument and FAR superior to its RBX predecessor which still sell for the £200 price point (in good condition). No trades at the moment. Collection/Delivery: The bass is on the Wirral, Cheshire and collection would be preferred. Trade Value:- £1100 Cash Sale:- £950 Hi, welcome to my sale page. For sale is my 2012 Gibson RD Bass released for Krist Novoselic, of Nirvana fame, for the 20th anniversary release of Nevermind. This is a limited edition model with only so many available worldwide and doesn't seem to be looking like a model/design that will be returning for some time!!! Specs: Maple body with Ebony nitrocellulose finish Maple neck with comfortable, rounded profile Obeche fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays Pair of Seymour Duncan Hot Stack STK-J2 pickups in the neck and bridge Grover™ Shamrock tuners with 20:1 tuning ratio Gibson hardcase Hipshop SuperTone Bass Bridge (original 3-point bridge included) Bass Guitar Magazine (UK) with bass review inside. Dunlop Straplok's Condition: The bass is in really good condition with only a light scratch on the face of the body (there when purchased) it has been used but always kept in great care. Same goes for the hardcase which is in great condition considering it's meant to get marked and scuffed up. Mods: Hipshot supertone: Ever tried setting up a Gibson 3-point bridge? if not, try it and you'll know why this bit of kit has been added. With this bridge, it's easy to set up and helps it sing like never before. Jim Dunlop Straplok's, Chrome: There's a reason why these are expensive than most and that's because you won't find your strap failing and dropping your expensive basses on the floor and crying yourself to sleep at night. Positioned on the bottom of the bass and upper 'horn' for better stability and weight management. not quite NBD: Matt Freeman Precision to Jazz conversion
bigsmokebass replied to mcnach's topic in Bass Guitars
That would have been the simplest option, but I already have the Jake P/JJ and the point was having a Jazz in a more comfy package than... a Jazz
I have a P/J as well but I think the BB is inbetween the Precision and Jazz so does me well. I think a precision body and jazz pickups is quite cool though. -

Looks a while differently new bass. I quite like it but I'd have P/J confit for me BSB -

Hey guys, Done my usual rounds on Bass Direct and stumbled across something I've never seen before: and not seen an awful about on here. Pavel - Tzack bass, Deluxe 4. Just wondered what people make of this brand, as well as, history and quality of these instruments? I want to call it an Alembic copy but I know so little, I don't know if it is or whether it came before Alembic. Hahaha. Seems a lovely piece of wood and good hardware and electronics but couldn't say it would be something I'd purchase without trying in person. By all means, supply any pictures of basses or instruments you've got or owned by Pavel. BSB
Thanks you very much. It is very interesting short review. How about the Thunderbird? Has anybody tried to slap on it?
Just like slapping a jazz bass.... Different sounds obviously but what tones I set on the bass/amp will be different to yours

http://youtu.be/sCBTq-bxZW8 Saw this a while back when bidding on one, via eBay nice basses though
Danny - we've spoken about advertising tax evasion before - probably not a good idea
Aye, I'd be careful as Customs (and excise) can and probably will catch you up. Not good for seller and customer That's unless you're going to get someone to smuggle it in also? Lol
Looks well dodgy to me, but what do I know... Here's the link for those who are interested. My advice- avoid! http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Fender-Precision-bass-1965-Great-Shape-Stunning-instrument-SUPER-/331725304285?nav=SEARCH
For me.... I'm even questioning if any part of it is Fender? Again, what would I know.

Fender American Vintage & Musicman Classic
bigsmokebass replied to Schnozzalee's topic in Bass Guitars
I've not tried the Musicman Classic, either, but I do love the AVRI's, especially the Pbasses. The only thing I see different about the Classics is the string mutes and different maple necks(?). Is there anything additional compared to today's standard model? -
Gotta love that neck dive though, lol.

Personally? I'd wait and check the marketplace on here. You say you can get "a better bass later" but for £200, you could get yourself something now to last quite some time. Ibanez, Squier, Yamaha.... There's a few that do the P/J confit that turn up here often enough and at bargain prices. I WOULDN'T go for a Stagg, at least try before you buy and try an expensive bass too to get a feel for what to expect and compare models to.

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281874436977&globalID=EBAY-GB So yeah.... This came up on my feed. I had to laugh but I don't think it's included
Same here, don't think my wallet does though! Hahaah You know much about the cheyenne?
These days with the marketplace not allowing sales of Rickenbackers or fakes, it's an expensive item to purchase at the best of times. :-/ No idea about the Cheyenne but it costs more
-
Damn! That's quite a find. How does she play?

I'd rather the real deal, personally hahaha
