2. Goes on Wednesday btw, best be quick. BSB
3.
I love mine the tone is something special and I've never been a fan of precisions I was playing an American jazz in the shop when I was advised to try this and I never looked back I went back today and bought it and I'm so happy I did
I think thats a good excuse for a signature update and some rather sexual pictures Mine however; i am experiencing the Fender Retail "R'N'R lifestyle" of delivering whenever they like but from what i hear, well worth the wait. . . . watch this space BSB
4. A real nice looking bass, I would like one but 32" scale is somewhat too small and no doubt a price tag to match my collection as it stands :-/ Thank you for the link and info (Y) I'll have to check out what else your after seeing as we have similar taste hahaha BSB
5.
Isn't this just another P though? Any good P would do?
In sound, possibly but specs are different. I like the thought of a Pbass with a Slim C neck, LQ Badass II as stock and a Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder. Just rock 'n' roll wrapped up in a bass- not just another name on an instrument BSB
6. we'll have to share notes once we've both received them haven't tried one yet, bit of a punt but a big Nirvana, Foo and general Grohl fan so worth the sentimental value atleast haha BSB
7. http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/22228_4850915383553_1061023322_n.jpg lovely collection and look like you had a brilliant time, dont suppose you could shed some light on this? BSB
8. basschat.co.uk/topic/183222-nate-mendel-signature-bass/ Think this might help Getting mine sometime this week. BSB
9. According to Gibson's "out of production" tab on the site it's not on there, assuming its still being produced. Best thing to do is to call your local Gibson retailer and ask them as they can get a confirmation from their supplier BSB
10. DV247 have them in the £800 region last time i looked BSB
11.
Kinda yeah, but kinda no - taking a vintage guitar gigging was giving me kittens.
i'd love to throw a spanner in the mix and ask for the black one ;P any decent offers or trade offers yet? BSB
12.
Outside bets would be Gibson
missing your G3? BSB
13.
What about the gibson RD artist Krist signature bass?
A cool passive rock bass which works well for me, some dislike due to being an artist model, weight (maple neck and body!) but if you want some versatility, active/passive bass then the Fender would be for you. My motto is to always try before you buy BSB
14. what does it say exactly on the headstock: front and back? Looks possibly like an ibanez bass for sure but cant tell properly what model on my phone :-/ BSB
15. looks a beaut enjoy it BSB
16. never owned one but tried one a few times. ideally a jazz bass with a few bells and whistles. i do like it but dont think it would be one i'd own. each to their own as they say BSB
17.
Heh, nice try but the RD has the Gibson branded Schaller BMs and they're fine by me, just don't like those Grovers
Gus will back me up, ill take good care of her, she'll feel right at home with her own kind too you needn't worry BSB
18.
Heh, another point where opinion is divided, I happen to like the mini buttons, I think the latest issue full size Grovers look like the kind of giant ears that kids at school get grief from their peers for Gibson don't seem to want to use Schaller anymore, BMs stick out a little less than the Grovers.
As mentioned, ive had my days of broken tuners and i find the "big ears" very reliable and durable but saying that, i dont have a problem with them as such as long as theyre in a line of 4 like the thunderbirds, explorers etc. i suppose theres always the option of Hipshots but at an expense. BSB PS: Neep, if big ears aren't doing you any good ill happily take your poor RD for my LP
19. i do believe when he says "one of the cheapest gibsons . . . with a hardcase" he means with full scale length it doesn't seem bad, sounds like a jazz? but also thick with those double buckers. if they switched those Gotoh tuners for the Schaller's i may have considered it. [sub]i've had my days of 2+2 headstocks and little plastic rings snapping or replacing tuners ("(-.-)[/sub] the ebony looks quite suave anyway, think that's be mine if i got one. what colours/finishes are you hoping for? BSB
