so let me get this right... you don't really play fretless.... and you've gone off 5 strings.... but... you want this? why?
Haha, i know what your thinking but its just a beautiful bass mahn, take a look at it and tell me you wouldnt own that the problem i had with 5 strings is that i never had much use for it with not being in a band and some basses always had a sloppy B than something tight and defined that i find with string thru's and longer scale necks. Fretless? i've only ever had one, being a squier and i only sold it soon after owning it for urgent funds but it would be something i'd learn and play some day, if not an EUB. I've always been a Pbass player at heart, my first bass being one and a 5 string version would be the ultimate dream for but i don't think Fenders are worth the price no longer in comparison to other big named brands (Dingwall, Mike Lull, etc) but yet again, all down to funds.
LOL Does the opening theme from "Seinfeld" count? What do you mean I'm lucky to be playing his bass.... lol.... He thought he was lucky I let him play my Takamine guitar! He has a friend who doesn't let anyone touch his Takamine. I also have a Fender Strat, so yes, I'm careful with guitars. I also plead with him to NOT sell any of his basses..... unlike his friends' wives who are always glad when the guy sells a guitar. Us musicians have to stick together.
ok. . . . i take that back! wish my girl was more like you, she only complains my guitars are all over the place ^_^ so what guitars do you have yourself or "claimed" from your fella?

surely the work of Kidrobot

No but but it'd be the only fender I owned with my 51. Would like to see them reissue one but no doubt sell really fast. BSB
For next day, but not for early (i.e. morning) delivery which is a bit extra - so you can take a half day instead of a whole day off to wait for delivery, for instance. PS. nice bass!
i suppose so really, i thought all P&P where just standard nower days with deliveries over certain amounts. Aye, nice bass anyway, cant really beat sunburst and rosewood BSB
I had a Tanglewood Odyssey, budget bass, well made & finished, look great - played OK. Pay a bit more & get better if you can
nice Ovation styled head but that fretboard looks lovely BSB
Well, apparently RRP is like £1450, but GAK, Andertons and PMT are doing it for £1121. He did the bass for £1100 and threw in the strings and cheap delivery. I know it isn't a massive amount off, but it was really nice to find someone in a shop that was friendly and actually seemed to have time for me for a change.
don't most shops include FREE P&P for orders over £200? BSB
Gibson basses, expressed as an algorithm:
REPEAT create new bass WHILE bass still available FOR timer = 1 to a number picked out of a hat less than 10 sell bass NEXT IF NOT outsold Fender AND bass != Thunderbird THEN discontinue bass ENDWHILE UNTIL company bankrupt

. . . . . Krist Novoselic it is then BSB
