Using this amp for a while now and this is a totals gem for £200. For all that is included, I really can't believe what I have. The valve amp simulations are really warm and close to the real thing as comparing it to my Marshall valve and my friends Fender Tv series amp. I'd say there's more of a natural treble and bass boost in the actual TV amp compared to the Bronco but so damn close it's as good as. Using this with my computer (Mac) every time I use it I find it fun to pick up set ups and take them apart to see what makes them up and what I look for in amps and FX. It's really easy amp and application to use, for people who vaguely know how to use amps, effects pedals and computers to people who know a lot about each. You can select standard setups or you can go into an advanced set up where you can choose what cabs you want, noise gates, modern or vintage, cone sizes and combinations, all very realistic too. I've not had the opportunity to gig or jam with this yet but not even using it a quarter of the volume (approx 10-15w) : it's really loud to use for most small venues and anywhere above half can be used almost anywhere. Only thing I will suggest for anyone interested, is looking for a foot switch. This would be handy if you use 2 set ups which are really awkward to change between during sets. Ie. if you had to change from a electric-EUB, electric to acoustic or genre to genre. It's like switching amp to amp with two different EQs. This is really easy to do with the computer application but also on the amp itself if you don't mind fiddling with it quite a bit. One downside is that I find the Fender pre-sets and anything additional from Fender on the website, although something's are ok and time worthy, the majority are crap and nothing has been added from probably the release date. I'll add more, the more I play but feel free to ask me anything BSB

The Roto's I have set on it haven't only released tension in the neck but also sound and feel great on this bass. I thought at the time, using EB strings would benefit this a lot, as you imagine the manufacturer would know a lot about thier instruments and strings . . . I know in the guitar world, these are pretty top ranking but as far as basses, has anyone else had problems with these strings? Roto's forever BSB

Lovely bass, I tried one at Salop Music in Shrewsbury, Uk. Great rockbass with a real ice finish (as to the Faded series) ita just a shame I lacked the funds Enjoy the bass and keep us updated

Haha niiiiice, I got these on my 51. They're so nice and seem right when using a electric tuner as to 'normal' machine heads and turning them the other way (you'll know what I mean). Congrats with your bass mate, sounds lovely. I may have to try your ingredients but for fretless recipe

Fender P-Bass Special FSR Seafoam Green in Merchant City Music
bigsmokebass replied to merello's topic in Bass Guitars
So nasty that it's already reduced by a couple of hundred on GAK - http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-fsr-precision-bass-special-sea-foam-metallic-maple/65404
Either American, MIJ/CIJ or a really high priced Mexican. . . . I'm confused :S -
Aha! Abit late posting but really glad you ended up with a bass you seem to love and cherish more than your Fender

I'm sitting on the fence whether to say your bass is worth more or not. because the Marcus Miller bass has only recently gone up to the £1000 mark, where as the lakland JO 5 started at this price a few years back. . . . If your the picky type and compare where they are made, hmmmm bit of a difference but I'd still choose lakland over any standard MIM or MIA Fender but your bass is great and it seems the ball is in your court so fire away

Are there any stock Fender P-basses with a Jazz neck?
bigsmokebass replied to fretmeister's topic in Bass Guitars
I would also like to know if there has ever been a jazz bass with a P neck stock?
Mark Hoppus bass??? -
Looks good enough, I'm just a bit uneasy on the transfer (headstock) and the jazz Pickup when the other basses shared all have the humbucker? 0_o

Reverse tuners?
Looks more like a Westfield to me, not enough frets for a start?
It has enough just not the double dots. Looked to me like a Stagg bass but the Tangle' looks spot on

Nice basses but I would prefer this on a better quality fender, maybe the American Special range?
At one time I had 7 basses and I had to play them in rotation. My secret favorite was the Indonesian Jazz Squier I picked up for £95. I've sold most of them off now and intend to end up with just my Frakenfender Jazz (made up of cannibalised bits of other Jazzes).
Even with all the basses I have and have had, my Westfield Pbass copy (first bass) is still the one that fits like a glove and feels like home. I find that having more basses gives you more options and more sounds to play with, than restricting yourself to one bass or amp. That's my reason but it does come at a price.
Tis at home with me now... and it's even nicer in the flesh than the photos!! The semi transparent finish reveals a beautiful bookmatched top in what looks like flamed maple under the gloss. Just a few very minor (natural use) scratches which buffed right out, ...a new set of strings and its a minter!
Aye, tis a beautiful bass. I think Rich is somewhat relieved to have sold this to have me off his back, so, I'm your new best friend haha I hope you enjoy this and glad everything has polished out so it feels as good as new. Sounds like its settled in fine with the right person I'm sure Rich would say the same. Regards, BSB

Hey BC'ers Looking to sell my bass to raise funds. I have tried to sell and trade this before, so a few people may be familiar with this but I'm in need of the money, not any more equipment. It's a 2010 MusicMan Stingray 5 in black, black pick guard and maple neck/frets. Single humbucker, just your everyday SR5 bass sound and feel. Need I say more? Fender P-Bass Special FSR Seafoam Green in Merchant City Music
bigsmokebass replied to merello's topic in Bass Guitars
Is the neck finished? Anyone? BSB -
I actually like them The one I don't like is maple with white inlays or rosewood with black. . . Barely visible. Would love a blocked and bound neck, beautiful necks *drooools* BSB

Please recommend me a great, light weight precision bass under £300
bigsmokebass replied to mashup's topic in Bass Guitars
Either Matt Freenan, Bass collection (if you can find one) or a Westfield Pbass is pretty decent for the price. Still have mine in stock after 8 years BSB
