Thank you very much XGSJX, luckily i now have a buyer but your thoughts have meant alot to me =D Never thought i'd come to sell EVERYTHING though, it is truely sad but everyone on here has helped and lifted abit of the weight off my shoulders and help put a smile on my face. I only have to sell my MM SR5 and a guitar + amp set to be nearly evens with my debt *sigh*

well that "wood and wire" sounds and feels alot better and cheaper than some other expensive "wood and wire" Just my general opinion on the ol' "wood and wire" then again, where would we be without the "wood and wire"? most of us wouldn't know what to do lol =] edit: Salesman job please ;] haha

I don't as of yet but home for the weekend, have some by then. I know it will look scuffy with the paint job but genuinely, it has served its use well with me in the studio, i would still keep it if money wasn't an arsehole. Price only low as easy to sell, no problems what so ever!! edit: i can't offer postage for obvious reasons but i could try my best of meeting you 'halfway' if thats any help? PM for quicker response =]
As ive heard that the P bass pick config can be limited (or am i wrong) Do they make a Pbass with an added Jazz pickup? what are they like.
They do, its just as usual but with the advantage of a high end boost, i tried the Fender MIM (deluxe?) one not that long ago with the active circuit and sounded really good for a few hundred =] Fender also made an American Deluxe with a humbucker or the ELITE with two Precision pickups (not sure how old) some can be seen around though i've never tried one. Personally, I do prefer it 'standard' and bassy version ^_^
What am i looking at price wise for a used year 2000+ Precision...are the latest models the best? USA or CIJ/MIJ...???
A few hundred? If your looking at Fenders they have a whole range as you might already know. Some think the MIM (Mexican) Pbass is the best to go for and upgrade yourself to save on the old wallet/ purse strings of the ol' expensive Americans, although, i do have my heart set on the 08 models. I have a MIJ 51 Ris, get a phat sound from it but built like a telecaster, it has a blocky build with no contours but great for the money. I now there are more Jap's out there but not sure what price ranges are but i know they're 'The sh*t'!! Welcome to the Precision World anyhow and hope you enjoy your stay, haha

My first bass was a Westfield Pbass, i didn't like the pick ups or tuners but in general a really good bass and like comments above, giggable! They may be cheap imports but i think if they spent a little more money on the build: better bridge, pick ups, tuners, they could have a really good bass.... perhaps almost as good as a Squier or Epi's. One benefit was that I thought they were really light too. I still have it today, don't think i'd part with it no matter how good other basses are

Don't get me wrong, you see one going cheap and you like it, go for it! I haven't seen many go and when they have, hasn't been cheap. What shop be that? Sounds ace, ones near me are complete sh*t and nasty or sh*t service *cough* Dawsons *cough*. I do like Warwicks, they too pack a punch and versatile also but would personally save up and buy one new, even if they do go over £3k =]
Your revised figure of £6-800 will get you almost any used Stingray you want. The Stingray 5's are among the best mass produced 5-stringers around, having an almost unlimited tonal range from Status-like hifi to single coil P-alike grunt. Why did I sell mine?!
I totally agree, especially with the S/H or H/H config' .... LOTSA BASS!! but even with just the single humm bucker, they're legendary beasts that have a tone of thier own that will fit any musical style what-so-ever and considering 'mass produced' they feel unique and a better sence of sentimental value. totally worth their weigh in gold. Shame i'm selling mine but its for pastures new in this bass world =] £950 shipped or £800 collected or meet halfway

If the buyer is offering to pay postage, i would be pleased to send it, its a lovely bass and a shame to sell but i'm lacking money to keep the clothes on my back atm- saddly. Does anyone know a good currier and how packaged it needs to be? ive only tried the P'office before and it would have cost me around £40 and HAD to be cased. I'm sorry if i put anyone off with the lack of postage, if you could find out the mile difference between CH62 8EP and TF1 2AQ, i'm sure my gf and i would be happy to drop it off if not too far or even meet halfway. PS: this goes out to all of my items for sale. You'd have my gratitude and a friend for life for keeping me alive in this dark time =]
