i think you would be looking more at warwick rockbass' or the MIM jazz 5 strings for that sort of money, i doubt you could really get a good 5string warwick (unless a 2nd hand, std corvette), fender or musicman for £500. i know what want though as i was in the same boat a while back but managed to save up for a MMSR5 (ironically reselling on here) and it does pack a punch and warm to bright jazz sounds too but also very versatile too on the active EQ. luckily you had a BTB series ibanez which was 100 times better than my Gio 5 and my SRX355 but i too got bored of ibanez and havent thought of ever going back yet!! all the best with finding your next bass

Ive got a Gould Telecaster copy in black and 'aged' maple neck and rosewood fretboard in good condition with a med sized 'used' peavey amp just sitting in my spare room collecting dust faster than im collecting bills to pay off. looking for quick sale and someone local to bag a bargain. want them both to go together and the amp is way too heavey to post. i can be found at either location, Cheshire (CH62 8EP) or Telford (TF1 2AQ) so just let me know where you want the amp and guitar to be =D PM if interested pics uploaded later today

Working Warwick Pro Fet 3.2 amp head. * Bass head, 300W RMS @ 4 ohms, 19" / 2HE * Gain with Clip-LED * Adjustable Compressor * Variable Contour * Switches for Deep, Bright and Mute * controller for Bass, Low Mid, High Mid and Treble * FX loop * DI out, Pre/Post switch, ground lift, Line out, tuner out, phones out * weight: 10 kg * dimensions (W/H/D): 19" x 2HE x 30 cm (34 cm with rack-rail) Makes a good head for any cab (withstandable) for rehearsels, gigging and touring and even practicing through headphones in your bedroom. I will try my best to find out Postage charges but would prefer cash on collection but can use paypal oh, and the condition is 'new' dispite age as i havent taken it out of my rack case since purchase, neither took it out of the house!!! PM if interested and first come, first served. Collection at either: CH62 8EP or TF1 2AQ EDIT: £100 if collected!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an Ibanez SRX355, in Natural, 5 string defretted (with coated fretboard) and parts of wear and tear from gigging but having to sell most of my equipment to pay off bills. looking for quick sale and someone local to bag a bargain. Now, i would have live videos and samples of this being used in the studio if my old computer hadn't malfunctioned to deleting everything on there but it really is an excellent bass, its a shame to sell this but unfortunitly i have prioritys in life.... living. i prefer the bass to be collected as i dont honestly have the money to send but i can be found at either location, Cheshire (CH62 8EP) or Telford (TF1 2AQ) so just let me know where you want the bass to be =D PM if interested pics uploaded later today Edit: i know this sounds odd but once i get financially, back on track i may purchase this back from you for upto double, if you wouldnt mind, it does mean alot to me =[

I personally like the 08 USA standards (with maple frets) as they have a good build and comforbility let alone that classic pbass tones. Got to say i actually love the string through on a pbass- never played one before and sounds so much fresher and clear than the norm' Most people say go for the mex's as you save alot and not a great difference but i disagree like yourself. Saying all that.... i do have a fender '51 pbass (CIJ) which fits most of the above but generaly looks and sounds slightly different. Is there much difference in size specs with MIAs, CIJs and MIMs? if so, i'd try and see one for yourself before you buy from the internet. Hope you find one you like =]

is it modded or imported? either way i want one =] i love the warmth of the fretless with a p/j configuration along with the clarity of the notes played. got to admire an unlined fretless for a change too, pretty unseen these days.

Practically a Tony Franklin without the price tag and added ego boost. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=66...274015628094518

from what i can remember from the first time i watched this, it was extended with info on it, were the idea came from, design but despite being clever i recall them having so many difficulties with it and with the company, that the bass became a one off. i dont think it was the bass itself though, just the service of modifing the neck but looks and sounds ace.... might attempt to make my own someday =]

http://www.surreymusic.co.uk/acatalog/Bass...lification.html there it is on there. sorry for the gobbledygoop above, a better way to descride it is: for a solid state practice amp, you get a very warm valve amp without needing it to warm up. all the best

I know this is going to sound 'nooby' for someone of my rate of playing and knowledge but my girlfriends 15w practice amp, crafter, packed full of tones, bursting at the small seems. Honestly, i couldn't turn it off when i started using my 51 precision with it.... might get one myself but give it a try if you can find one and wouldnt cost much.
