  1. Ever since I've been playing an instrument from guitar and for the last 12 or so years the bass I've only ever used and really understood tab. I'm now at the point in my journey I want to learn to read and understand sheet music but I've no idea where to start. Can anyone point me in the direction of a few YouTube vids, articles etc to set me off prepared in the best direction to achieve my aim?
  2. The colour is stunning!
  3. Just replying to save this for when I get paid next week
  4. Gave me a right fright this topic 😄
  5. Second rehearsal as a band yesterday and wow! That rush of jamming with others is like a drug and I want more
  6. Thanks for the replies 👍 much appreciated
  7. At our next rehearsal our guitarists are going to be playing songs that would normally be in E down to Eb. I've no issue with this but don't want to make myself an idiot by asking this but anyways 😂 is it just a matter of playing the same notes that would be in E tuning for a song but just with my bass tuned down half a step? Hope that makes sense
  8. Calling All Rock Singers! 🤘 We're a hard rock covers band on the hunt for a talented lead singer (gender non-specific) to complete our lineup. If you've got the voice and the passion for rocking out, we want to hear from you! About Us: We are a tight-knit group of musicians aged 38-42, and we are looking for someone around the same age range (max late 40s, early 30s).Currently, we rehearse once a month at Mushroom Studios in Rayleigh, but we will be stepping it up to twice a month once we complete the lineup. Next rehearsals booked for the evening of the 20th of this month. This is a labour of love and we are all dedicated to our craft, but family and work always come first. We're looking for someone who shares that same balanced approach. Our Repertoire Includes: Enter Sandman - Metallica You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC Eyes of a Panther - Steel Panther Dont Believe a Word - Thin Lizzy Whole Lotta Rosie - AC/DC Paranoid - Black Sabbath Whiskey in the Jar - Metallica Hold the Line - TOTO Love Gun - KISS If you're ready to join an energetic, committed group of musicians and take the stage, we want to know if YOU are the missing piece to complete our puzzle! Interested? Drop us a DM! We can't wait to rock with you! Or email [email protected]
  9. Having now got the cab in my possession I can see why a high quality cover not only costs a fair bit but is an essential item 😄
  10. Long shot but does anyone know of a good cover alternative for the Markbass Traveler 102P I've looked at the official branded one but for £50 it seems very pricey for what it is
  11. Well tonight was a first for me as I've never jammed with a guitarist and a drummer before as we've had a challenge finding one to group up with (my brother in law is a drummer which is handy and together we've been practicing for about 5 months) Think I held my own to be honest but I did have sheets for each song on my iPad in eyes view and had an issue with my clip on tuner but apart from that it went great and certainly something to work on. 9 full songs in the bank with Eyes of a Panther by Steel Panther a firm band favourite.
  12. No worries at all Thanks for reply
  13. I'm awaiting a payment and the 102p is the first thing on my shopping list 😀 Would you take £250?
