At our next rehearsal our guitarists are going to be playing songs that would normally be in E down to Eb. I've no issue with this but don't want to make myself an idiot by asking this but anyways 😂 is it just a matter of playing the same notes that would be in E tuning for a song but just with my bass tuned down half a step? Hope that makes sense

Markbass Traveler 102P cover alternative
FretsOnFire replied to FretsOnFire's topic in Amps and Cabs
Having now got the cab in my possession I can see why a high quality cover not only costs a fair bit but is an essential item 😄 -
Long shot but does anyone know of a good cover alternative for the Markbass Traveler 102P I've looked at the official branded one but for £50 it seems very pricey for what it is

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?
FretsOnFire replied to nilorius's topic in General Discussion
Well tonight was a first for me as I've never jammed with a guitarist and a drummer before as we've had a challenge finding one to group up with (my brother in law is a drummer which is handy and together we've been practicing for about 5 months) Think I held my own to be honest but I did have sheets for each song on my iPad in eyes view and had an issue with my clip on tuner but apart from that it went great and certainly something to work on. 9 full songs in the bank with Eyes of a Panther by Steel Panther a firm band favourite. -

Anyone bought from Thomann recently? Experience?
FretsOnFire replied to Twigman's topic in General Discussion
I recently refused and returned an item to them (2 weeks this coming Tuesday to be exact) and they still haven't received it. It left DHL to cross the border etc and I've kept copies of every correspondence etc so I'm hoping this week it'll arrive with them -
I used to until our PMT store here closed and now the closest is in Romford so it's not always possible. So far thankfully I've been lucky when not trying before I buy
-
Saw them in Hyde park in 2012 with sound garden, soul fly, Motorhead etc That was my farewell to them as a live act then when Oz, Toni and Geezer put on one hell of a show

I was there on the floor row 23 😁 such a brilliant gig by musicians with an absolute wealth of experience

Cover of a song I've been meaning to do a cover of for a while now Styx - Too much time on my hands

Great playing 👍 Whenever I hear that song I can only think of Alan Partridge

I took 2 guitar lessons about 12 years ago and found myself not enjoying the instrument to the point it put me off playing as all I was doing was practicing the F barre chord over and over and running up and down the fretboard doing finger strength exercises. It was only when I spent my time playing songs that I wanted to play did I really fall in love with the instrument and it's been that way ever since. If I could give my old self advice it would be to save time and don't take lessons but go your own way

Murder on the dance floor - Sophie Ellis Bextor Lil bit sloppy but it somewhat resembles what's heard on the record now

Guitar - teenage kicks Bass - Wheels of Steel

Hotone Skyline Harmony - my fault as it did not do what I thought which was acting as a drop pedal (Basically wanted a cheaper version of the Digitech drop pedal)
