1.
Mrs T and Endorka seems to be the only female posters. What happened to Zoe BillySheehan and Sarah 5 String? Was it something we said?
I thought you were a girl (with a silly name), and a stunner at that. How disappointing ;-(
2. I have a 75 MIJ Jazz re-issue and am looking to do the usual mods, Bridge - Pups - Tuning Keys. (I've had it for about a year now and it plays great but sounds lacking) I've fitted the Fender chrome plate over the bridge and want to keep the look but I'm not sure which bridges (Badass,Gotoh,Hipshot etc) will fit under it. Have you guys got any tips? Phil.
3. Ahh, what a bummer.Might have to buy a new one. Or a chunk systems or a something or other but definitely a new thingymajig!
4. No thank you Ryan, I've got 2 compressors and am trying to get rid of one. I don''t need another one. Sorry R!
5.
not sure whether it will do 3 x 12v, but the diago powerstation might be your best bet. fire them an e-mail to find out. their customer service is excellent. i use it with my mb compressore, and various 9v and 18v too. http://www.diago.co.uk/
The guy from Diago wrote " Hi Philip, The Powerstation is able to power most 12V pedals, not by actually outputting 12V, but by the fact that most pedals are designed to work within a tolerance of voltages, so long as they are supplied with enough current. For example, all the T-Rex pedals work at 9-12V, even though they're sold as "12V pedals". Regarding specifically the Mark Bass pedals - I have to say that I don't know, since we haven't had any yet to test". And seeing as it works on your Compressore, it should work on mine. Cheers Phil.i.stein
6. The extension cable on my board takes up too much room and is very messy. Any ideas which power-blocks can supply 3(or more) 12v pedals and th usual 9 volt suspects ?
7. That's true my journey is complete. How long does it usually take to get clean (tone) again? Do they have clinics :-) I'd have prefered Darth Vader as an advisary to the Missus. (luckily she thinks everything costs 50 quid).
8. Sounnds a bit rude! But they do look great. I've got a fender for swaps...
9. Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha... That's ridiculous, I absolutely love it. Go on. Let us hear it.
10. Ordered one and then a second arrived 6 months later. I'd like to swap this for a sans amp/ synth/ microbass/ or any good offers.
11. What do they make these days to replace the Deep Impact?
12. Are youinterested in swapping it for a Markbass compressore? 3 months old/boxed/excellent condition.

14.
that is a work of art. i bet it sounds as good as it looks.. edit: chorus @ front ? also, is that another compressore at the top right ? please explain..
If I don''t have the chorus first I get a high-pitched undulating interference from te Unichorus, sepecially when I dial in the filter from my Markbass amp. God knowa why!. The second compressore is up for grabs. This effects lark is very addictive. It's gonna cost me a lot of money, I can feel it in my bones.
15. By the way that Markbass compressore to the top-right of the pedal board is excess to requirements. I ordered one and six months later a second turned up ;-) Anyone for swaps?
16. I never used to be much of an effects guy, thought compresssion and chorus would be more than enough. So I bought them, and then thought "what about a bit of overdrive/distortion?". Before I knew it my pedals justified getting a board to house them in. So here it is my first pedal board.
17. Hi guys, I'm hearing high-pitched undulating interference when I use my Unichorus. It's at it's loudest when used at the end of my signal chain or when I dial in the VPF filter from tne Markbass amp. Do any of you guys recognise this problem/ can it be helped/ or is it a duff unit. I've just started with effects so I'm not sure what the norm is. I'm using a Fender Jazz - Unichorus - Markbass Combo.
18. Here's the link, so you know what it looks like. http://www.basmarkt.nl/ad/basbox_te_koop/1...r_bass_kabinet/
19. Any of you guys ever played through/heard the Fender 1X18 4601sa ? I was thinking of adding one to expand my Markbass 2x10 combo. There's one for sale on basmarkt(a Dutch used gear site) for 250 Euro's! What do you think, a bargain or a waste of money? Phil.
20. Thanks for the input guys. I'd sent a mail directly to Tech 21 with the same question, but it seems Basschat gets quicker results. I've seen a few on Ebay/Marktplaats (Dutch secondhand goods site). Maybe I'll get lucky with a decent bid! Anyone want to offload one of the above, or an EBS Microbass ?
21. Hello bottom-enders, This may seem like a silly question; What's the difference between the TECH 21 BASS DRIVER D.I. DELUXE 325 Euro's and the TECH 21 VT BASS DELUXE 295Euro's ? I'm looking for a tool to change tone (and sometimes basses) in between songs. Phil.
22. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll be trying the rubber mat to seperate my Markbass combo from the stage and I'll keep in mind that such interference/resonance can be eliminated using tone/bass controls. ;-) Phil.
23. The last 2 gigs we've played I've had to reduce the volume so much I could hardly hear myself play. The bass-drum microphone has an issue with my amp. The amp is used as a monitor for onstage sound so it's not too loud, the majority of volume comes from the PA. We were getting lots of distortion/feedback with the soundcheck, reducing my amp volume was the cure. Both gigs were played on a hollow stage. Has anyone any ideas? Not hearing yourself on stage is depressing. PLEASE HELP :-( Phil.
24.
yes mate, they do fit the same socket, so no worries there. the unit is also very small and light and will not take much space on your board. best wishes & happy new year ! from me & my dog, dekker, named after my favourite dutch cyclist, erik! edit - if you don't use all 6 plugs, tape up the extra one's to avoid any short-circuit ! if i get around to it, i'll post a picture of the set-up tomorrow !
Oh yeah Eric Dekker, heard of him but i'm not quite sure, was he the last Dutchy to win Le Tour (or a stage of it). If you do get the time it'd be great to see your set-up. In Dutch they say 'Beste Wensen' (best wishes) instead of happy new year. Beste Wensen Philistein and Dekker.
25.
hi, i was a bit tentative at first, but believe me , it works ! no problem.. i have a few pedals that don't follow the standard 9vdc set-up, so i was also wary. i use the mb comp first in the chain, followed by a few 9v dc pedals and even a 9vac (boss syb-5), and they all work fine. read up on diago's f.a.q. section. they say that combinations of 9 & 12 v are o.k. but an extra adaptor is required for 18v. (costs £5.99) the only pedal i won't risk is my 24v ehx q-tron. like i say i haven't had a problem with the compressore so far, but you can always e-mail them to check.. also the unit will cut off itself if it feels that anything in the chain is 'wrong', which is why i decided to pay the extra..
Thanks for the assurance Philistein, I can't find them in the European cybershops so it looks like I'll be paying the 60 quid + shipping. In the basic pakkage you get enough cable to daisy chain 6 effects (I only use 4 ), but do these original cables fit the M.B.Compressore. If so it looks like this is the solution. Phil.
