  1. Or trade for either a nice small cab (1x10 / 2x8 / 1x12 at a push) a nice pair of studio monitor speakers.
  2. Nanyo Bass Collection SB301. The serial number is 910960, which I believe means that it was made in 1991. I bought it new in Doncaster around that time, gigged with it for a couple of years, then stopped playing bass and stored it away (until I came to my senses and I got back onto playing bass last year). It's in fantastic condition (although the pearlesant white has yellowed a bit - see photos) and plays great. It's very light and the neck is nice and thin.
  3. Just traded my Vigier Passion fretless for Johna's Jazz Bass + a few quid. Johna has been an absolue pelasure to deal with throughout. 100% honesty, brilliant communication, super flexible and bags of enthusiam. If only everyone in life were as easy to deal with as Johna!
  4. Now sold (subject to delivery in Jan). I'll update the headline message once I've worked out how to do it!
  5. Vigier Passion fretless carbon thru-neck (#016) £2,000 Selling my Vigier Passion lined fretless bass with carbon neck-through-body. I believe that it is a series ii with Phenowood Fingerboard. It’s all as original, including VP4 active preamp / circuit board. It sounds brilliant and is lovely to play. It is in really good condition for its age but has some small resin cracks around the output (quite common) and a repair on the underside (see photos). It’s been stored away for 30 years but recently cleaned up, serviced and set-up by Medley Guitars in London. It’s now 100% ready to play. Comes with a hard case. £2,000 I’m going to try selling in the UK first, then consider going international if there's not enough interest. Thanks for looking!
  6. Ah, thanks guys. It’s nice to feel so welcome. The cherry tree is still there but there doesn’t seem to be any live music there anymore, sadly. @Richard R I’m selling as I need to free up money for a bass and amp. I’ve always played narrow necked basses as I thought I didn’t have big enough hands to handle a proper bass (I started on a short scale - my band mates used to call it a Fisher Price bass!). I’d always aspired to have a Warwick bass but I played a Jazz Bass recently and it felt great, so easy to play. My bass collection is really nice to play (you get used to whatever you have) but it is really quiet.
  7. Thanks all. I’m in East Dulwich, just down the road from Camberwell. Elaine Chase (of Crossroads fame) still lives on Camberwell Grove!
  8. Hello everyone! I've picked the bass back up this year after about 25 years. It's probably a midlife crisis but I'm loving the learning journey and starting to pick up the courage to connect/jam with other musicians. I'm still using the basses that I had back in the 90s (a Vigier Passion ii fretless and a Bass Collection SB301 but through a new Blackstar decktop micro amp). I'm planning to sell / trade them in for Jazz Bass and new amp. I play anything with a groove. I love old soul, disco, funk and some modern sythn-based stuff like Dabeull. Nice to be here! Tom
