    He did seem to be having a renaissance recently. A friend of mine saw him on tour last year and was blown away. Less impressed with Mr Depp though. He is a bit of a guitar snob though. I've got a real soft spot for his Les Paul tribute show with Imelda May..top notch.

    Yes, I was gutted when I got it out the box, I tried to convince myself to warm to it, but couldn't. I had a bit of a plonk and it did sound and feel good though.

    Hi , I'm certainly not an expert but have had a 1983 '57 Precision since new. Apart from the domed (?) knobs all seems to be pretty much the same . And , I have say yours does look fantastic 👍

    Hi folks ... a very interesting thread .. I also bought one recently and have returned for pretty much the same reasons as Highfox . If the finish was a quite a bit better I'd of been very happy.

    I recently purchased some of these , and I must say I'd really like them. A bit surprised that the Boss of the house seemed quite happy too! Here's some photos .     I was speaking to a guy at the rehearsal studio we use, he'd just bought and was very pleased with this Harley Benton which is cheaper https://m.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_b_25m_acoustic_bass.htm He was having a bit of a plonk on it and it certainly sounded the business. He said that he wasn't expecting the high quality for the relatively low cost.

    Personally I've got a PB 50 - very good & doesn't feel/sound like a " cheap" bass. Theres a lot of BC love for Harley Benton - just do a quick search there's quite a few threads
