1. It'd be interesting to find out what the story about this this was. How come its in such good nick?
2. Nice one Steve - sounds like a grand idea. Bristol , huh.... ?
3.
Having read the other thread about the show, I know that some people don't agree with criticising artists or the show, but as I stated, I am a massive fan of Wilko and Norman, but if they weren't who they are, I'm sure they would not have got through an audition had there been one. So is it just me? I know Wilko has been through a lot recently, but the whole band was awful in my opinion. I would be interested to know what others thought of their performance. Here's the link to the show, and they can be found at around 9 mins 50 secs into the show, try listening through headphones and you will hear just how bad they were. http://www.bbc.co.uk...hootenanny-2014
Just listened to this on headphones ,and, whilst sober! Rough & ready sure & that doesn't really bother me - it's only Rock n Roll etc ... But NWR's sound was terrible compared to say Paolo Nutini's bass player who I thought was fabbydoo! Anyway I'd forgive Norman for just about anything given his support for The Basschat Bass Relay! Top Bloke.
4. ....... please
5. Eh, goannie, jus buy it ken. Ya, bass.!!
6. http://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/fender-precision-bass-guitar-08-mint-condition/1092345928 "Mint condition, genuinely can't find a mark on it, but you're welcome to try. I'm only selling because I quit the band I play bass in and can't justify keeping basses when I play guitar. Asking for £300 ish, or swaps for a 6 String electric, something like a Telecaster (2 Pickup one) or a Strat or a Hollow body kind of thing. Get your daft w*** 7-Strings and Schectors or whatever they're called to f***, thanks. So aye. There you go. Buy it, it's braw."
7. I saw it too - interesting programme , Posh Pawn, thought the chap was looking for a tad much at £20-30K!! Maybe intentionally priced it too high? There have been a couple of guitar /bass related items I think - some bloke trying to flog signed guitars that turned out to be fakes?
8. Nice one lel - I'm sure you won't be disappointed - I had one similar but with the gold blingy hardware -
9.

Man , I loved that - even the mad camera work & groovy audience dancing!!
10.
I have a cunning plan. Why not just rent a real one and turn the volume down to 0? It's radical but I think it might just work

This doesn't read as sarcasm to me.
Not just me then!!
11. Seems to have gone down well..... http://youtu.be/kHH9-6adpZI
12. Eh , excuse my ignorance but what's the best way to see what OBBM cables are all about?
13. Here's the link - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04snnpz
14.
Well, I saw the bass from the corner of my eye but the whole show was totally annoying and I won't be watching it again
. Same, and agreed!!
15. Is it the one in your pic?
16. Just watching there's a nice looking White P don't know if they've spoke about it though...
17. Some good ones alright , and some just completely bonkers.... I liked skol's see- thru one..
18.
+1 That's about right, looks as if the red wires are extensions of the centre of the screened lead, to the middle tag on each respective pot - neck & bridge. To be honest - I would suggest replacing those pots & the jack socket with decent stuff To fit the Wilkinsons - the white from neck pup to centre of neck volume, yellow from bridge pup to bridge volume centre tag - (replacing the reds) both blacks from pups to pot bodies & leave the existing yellows where they are.
Thanks very much Mr KiOgon - it all sorted now thanks to your goodself. Here's a pic with the card the kit came with - from a Chivas Regal whisky box - class in a glass !! Cheerz!!
19. True , but it's still Aberdeen ffs etc, etc... I went there once for a night out and got chased along the street by about 30 "Casuals". Not sure if you still get " Casuals", or are they just Football Hooligans??
20. Ah, I see., Bit of a bargain at £200 I'd say - if you're near Aberdeen!
21. http://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/fender-bass-for-sale-/1089973347 Not much info , though.
22. What can I say - John has been absolutely excellent & very very helpful, always providing me with help & advice for the wiring kit for my Fenix Jazz bass , including trying to fathom out a problem that didn't actually exist - apart from in my head ( I'd put the knobs on at a funny angle & had thought the up/down direction was somehow back to front) - who's the knob then?? John must have little time for anything going by the speed of his communications!! Cheerz John I'll have a wee drink to you later!! ps/ edit - the card the kit arrived with was made from a Chivas Regal whisky box -- total class!!!
23. Seen this advertised - is it a helluva deal ?? http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_amps_detail.asp?stock=06021609594719 £199 rather than £374 they say
24. Wee bit off topic but I was told that my Fenix Jazz bass was used on a Tears for Fears album. I've absolutely no proof of this and was only told by the seller after I'd bought it. Tenuous claim to fame?
25. Good man, get a hanky just in case !
