1. That was a right good read btw - no pressure but a sneaky peek would be dandy
2. Glasgow Gumtree again , and again not sure if it's a real bargain but it looks good http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/original-yamaha-bass-guitar-wstand-199/1073549599 "Hey guys, selling my original Yamaha bass guitar. Everything is is perfect working order and the bodywork is almost mint (minor wear) and has been a very reliable companion for me. Really good price for a bass such as this, I'm reluctant to sell but only selling it so I can afford accessories for motorbike, will be sad to see it go to be honest. Bass comes with basic guitar stand. No offers please as I have lowered the price for quick sale. Thanks!"
3. Saw this on Glasgow Gumtree - not sure if it's a bargain or not. http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/rare-1982-ibanez-blazer-bl700-nt-bass/1073538234 "For sale: Rare 1982 Ibanez Blazer BL700-NT bass. Maple neck, solid ash body. (It has a few dents and scratches. To be expected, given that it's 32 years old) The body was stripped back to the bare wood when I bought it years ago, but it was given a few spray coats of clear lacquer to protect it. All original parts, except for one bridge saddle that needed to be replaced. These don't come up for sale that often. One in a similar condition went on eBay for around 30% more then my asking price recently. Also, come with soft gig bag. Cash and collection would be preferred, but could sort out delivery if you're relatively local. Otherwise, you could arrange your own courier - with tracking - to pick up from me once payment has cleared."
4. Fantastic album and I'm not a huge RD fan, but this is the Crawsbaws!
5. Orange, or the pastel without the matching headstock , I'd say.
6. I watched this fairly recently, and as old people say "thoroughly enjoyed it" , and certainly more than i thought i would - I particulary liked the back story stuff abot the players & guitars etc etc etc
7. Nice one , look forward to hearing it
8. Its gone gone gone.
9. I've got a Vox one - nice & sturdy reasonably priced . I'm happy to report that I've never been twonked in the nuts... , well, not by that lead .
10. Nice one, I used to get it monthly, , but I haven't bought G&B be for a while. I'll be visiting a quality newsagent ( WH Smiths) later today - looking forward to reading it. Mr Mullen is indeed a top bloke & btw is a supporter of the BC Bass Relay
11. Thanks, it's got a Made in Korea sticker on the back of the headstock and the neckplate has a big "Y C" stamped on it and the serial number is - E 737944
12.
I had a white one of these when they came out. Bloody heavy, but brilliant build quality and great sound.
Now that I've got it I'm curious as too how old it is - the seller said he thought it was 20 then said 27 years old - not sure if that sounds right. do you recall when you got yours? He also said that it had been used on a Tears for Fears album... I'd agree about the heavy & build quality - sounds great but the pots are a bit crackly - I've tried cleaning them but will probably need to replace them . I'm loving the bonkers cracked finish!
13. A little bit of press coverage from last weeks local paper
