This doesn't really fit but, it's a strange recognition in a way. At a recent pub gig, which was rather good, an enthusiastic punter, who'd been right next to the guitarist's side of stage , complimented him with .... " Great bass playing mate!!" Bet that hasn't happened a whole lot?

I suggest giving Gumtree a go, like anywhere just be aware of potential timewasters. Make it clear what the selling price is before you arrange to meet anyone either by email or speaking to them, being reasonable,of course . I've had mostly good experience buying and selling on Guntree, and also met BC's this way!

I was looking throught the Bass Book referred to in another thread and there an advert for Squier - probably early/mid '80's advertising a Precision and the Bullet I've not seen or heard anything about them and don't recall seeing any advertised for sale. Anyone got any views or knowledge - i presume they were short-lived??

Just leave it as it is , warts, missing frets and and all. Change strings as needs must , but don't bugger about with it any more!

Interestingly,you can't buy meths at a pharmacy round these parts. I eventually got some from a small DIY/hardware shop.

And my finger is still really sore ....

Not to everyone's taste - but very good basses , easy to play , sound good and, eh, not heavy. The £285 has disappeared but that would be a good price I think, even better at less!! ( I'd say a max of £350 for a very good one)

Played with the band for the first time in a while last night and after a while thought that my strings felt a bit sticky. Closer examination revealed that my softy finger was bleeding all over the place- then of course it became a bit sore. Did a quick search - will a quick going over with meths do the trick?

I reckon it's be great if Walman,or anyone else , in fact could gig with it sooner than later and keep the momentum going.where is the Purple One just now?
