1. "Instead of looking back from the present, look forward from the past and see how this was an improvement over a solid bar bridge." I like this way of thinking!!!
2. Sorted - by a Telecaster enthusiast who likes messing about with guitars " Give me your bass and I'll sort out that intonation for you, why don't you get a proper bridge for it?" Not sure what he did but socket is very snug- he didn't fit the new one though!

6. I like the shell pink -ish one but i'd say it's more of a mauve....... I also like the British Racing Green , after that it got too complicated!! pickguard colour choices/options??

9. Just stay on the D ....
10. Nice one..... just got it!!
11. Went for the 64 - looks like a proper classic Jazz - also like other gentlemen of a certain vintage - I went for the year of birth bass. Otherwise it would been the 63 Seafoam Green - I'm not too keen on the other 2 for some reason.

14.
That's cheered my lunchtime up.
sosososo true!
15. "Does a guitar need to be black and have pointy things to be "aproved for metal"?" I'm not a great expert but of course it does - are you nuts!!!! You could get poked with a pointy black thing for even questioning it!
16.
Last night, charity function.....great crowd, get a few odd requests for a classic rock band (Elki Brooks etc) that we manage to busk through but one woman kept on coming up to me and shouting "Chesney Hawkes". After about the tenth time I shout back "Look I know he's put on a few pounds but as you can see I'm not fecking Chesney Hawkes" I think the laughter from the crowd made her shut up at last!
You sure you're not the one and only Chesney Hawkes!!!

18.
Yeah that lovely ACG with the nut piezo would be interesting to own. The Hagstrom Viking would be a nice addition to the collection too! Truckstop
Oh yeah I also like the Viking - it looks cool and it's called Viking - what's not to like! - no idea if it it's good bass or anything though - Yes,i'm that shallow
19. It's a good one , been well looked after - previous owner had it since new , I got it earlier this year , and haven't abused it. It's lightweight, all original ,and shiny And it says Gibson on the headstock - so that makes it extra cool , right?
20. There's 2 for me Paisley pattern '54 P bass http://basschat.co.u...reissue-p-bass/ not sure if I'd go off it but i find it strangely attractive!! Next one I love - but in such good condition for it's age I'd probably be nervous about causing damage!! Early JV Squier P bass http://basschat.co.u...20#entry1835192
21.
Oh man, i remember this bass really well. I was after my first ever bass in 1982 but didnt have enough for a Squier. I remember the jazz bass being £250 and the precision at £230. Me and my older brother played them and loved them but with me also being a lefty i was pretty much scuppered. In fact that same year you could pick up a 70's USA precision for £120 and a 60's jazz for under £300 in Glasgow. My brother must have had 3 or 4 during the 80's before settling with a musicman sabre. Ive just acquired a 57 re-issue lefty Fender precision cij which looks identical to the one here minus the pickguard.
Lovely bass and it great nick - as a point of reference I bought my '57 JV - made in 1983 ( doesn't have big Fender logo) , in early 1985 for £149 from Cambridge Rock.
22. I'll need to have a wee look later, but when I last looked(yesterday)there was plenty good stuff. I presume having the money isn't a consideration! Btw what's the Jetking like, I think they look pretty good
