    Harman/Kardon ( Samsung) 3 piece system with subwoofer & satellite 4 ohm/ 30 watt on/off switch tempremental but probably easily fixed if got know-how. Nice & loud & good bass response. Collection only - not worth sending Let me know if interested D

    Monday evening bump- good luck with the new(?) band. Sparkly red is not mean & cool?? Saw a good looking Black/Maple P on Glasgow Gumtree - it's disappeared now - but would've looked the part. Mind you i couldn't tell you what an AC/DC bassman uses, but a Pbass must be in there!! BTW forgot to add that I'd say your price is keen & I'd agree with this 100% - "Buy with confidence from Jez, one of the good yins."

I like the John Deacon P bass. I remember seeing a Andy Summers Tele( custom shop?) in a shop in Glasgow " reduced" to something like £8000- Bargain!!?- But it was all beat up and everything

[/quote] Bingo - I also still have one ( with a bomb-proof replacement McKenzie speaker)- been through the wars for sure - Don't think I ever changed the settings , but it's a loud combo for sure . I got mine serviced recently & the guy ( who's really a dyed in the wool valve man, raved about it!!) It's a bargain bump!

Agreed, these are great basses , great value for money , and undervalued I 'd say. Also they are pretty lightweigt & very playable. And, very cool.

    Agree with a lot of the above. I thought Lancaster /Coghlan were great & loved Alan L's thumping, no nonsense, often agressive playing. The sound of the bass on the On the Level album is great. His tone changed for the worse when he stopped using his Fender Mustang in my view. Saw them in the late 70's/early 80's a few time & much preferred the original line-up. The glory days were probably over when JC left , but his going put a tin lid on it for me. Kinda curious about the latest developments.

    The purple triangle Dunlop tortex 1.14(?) is my fav just now. I think someone mentioned it earlier, but I don't find using a pick on a Jazz very satisfying for some reason ?

    Definitely not expert, but what I've learned is that it's harder and more satisfying to play a one note groove locking in with the drummer , than a whole lot of fancy pies. Thers's no room to hide

[/quote] Varies, but we now kind ease into it for pub gigs , and agree with the 3/4 songs to get into it & gauge the situation.

    I've got one that I've messed about with but to be honest I 've probably not used much of it's potential as it seems quite complicated to me - I'm rubbish at stuff like this - settings, patches, banks, patterns- doh! I've been signed off work with manflu - so messing about with it might help my recuperation!!
