1.
Love it! John Wetton - one of my bass heroes! Angie
Listening to this yesterday. the album's got awesome groove on the upbeat tracks. Remember being addicted to it even at 14! For me, this isn't the type of Jamerson sound I'd normally for but it's just infectious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZDDDFNHApI
2. hi. Is this sold?
3.
Im confused... Is this for a Bridge and then a Pickup Cover? Or a set of Bridge and Pickup Covers?
the chrome covers. like these:
4. For some reason I didn't get a notification of those last replies. Sorry people. They are still for sale. Please PM me if interested and they could go in the post tomorrow. Cheers!
5. Bought from Tom1946 who is a great guy to deal with but I mistakenly forgot about my Badass bridge... doh! So, selling on at same price to any lucky jazz owner. They are new and mint genuine Fender items. I am not selling a bridge, just the chrome covers for the neck pick up and bridge. Cheers
6. bought Tom's Fender ashtray covers. Thoroughly great guy and I even got a cup of tea! Cheers!
7. Head-Fi is the place to visit for advice. Current hungry headphones with low impedances can suffer if you're running them straight from source or through integrated amps, high impedance ones like Beyers, may suffer for other reasons. You will find most people suggest a dedicated headphone amp; often expensive but to be honest can be pretty cheap and cheerful, doing the trick just as well as an expensive one for most headphones.
8. Wow. Enjoy!
9. see!
10.
Fender American Standard Precision Bass, 60th year anniversary model 1951-2011 Ash Body with Maple Neck & Fingerboard, neck reinforced with cabon spars, hipshot tuners and hi-mass bridge, can it get any better?
you had me at the first photo. BTW, we have that chair but my fiesta red CV clashes with it
11. I have an acoustic now, as of three weeks ago. Gigged on it twice now! Still haven't performed on my electric even though I've been playing it longer. Play the acoustic every day.
12. Well I've just had my monthly trip to Steve James in Middlesbrough (no money to spend today though) and to be honest, with shops like this, you don't need the web massive new stock, new Graham Coxon Tele to drool over, Orange gear everywhere and great staff. Came out more informed than when I went in as usual. Cheers!

14. We all have our little foibles when it comes to quality 'stuff'. My passions are expensive and I should certainly just sell my most valuable goods to free up some cash. However, they are valued! No one else I know has such and such, and I get comments on my bike constantly, but as far as basses are concerned, for my skill level I couldn't conceive spending over a grand when a Squier CV does the job well. One day I may have an expensive bass that functions on the same aesthetic level as my other 'stuff' and therefore give a different answer.
15. Mine please! Paypal or cash on delivery OK? I'm only 13 mile away.
16. Very nice. Guilt only comes with wrong doing. Allowing others the pleasure of hearing and seeing this beast is commendable. B*st*rd.
17. Pretty sure the bassline on Bad Company's 'Feel Like Makin' Love' was made using the above.
18. Have fun and good luck! I'm quite envious because I've been wanting to dabble for a while in this sort of music but nothing going on locally it seems. The Amy Winehouse number we rehears e is the nearest thing to anything with a soulful Afro-Caribbean feel; i try to keep it deep and low, and of course focus on the timing. I'm gonna bear all that advice above in mind. Best!
