I will take a punt on the Amazon one and feedback
The guitar version I had years ago was surprisingly well made on a headless from "shengze guitars" which was a bit of an impulse buy and also because I kept knocking drinks over on my studio desk I had at the time, solved the problem!
So I recently won a beautiful washburn taurus t24 with a slight blemish on the headstock as you can see.
My plan is to put in a set of my favourite emg j set pickups with the tko switch as is tradition.
My question is in the year of our (over)lord(of music( 2025 - what is the go-to budget bridge?
I'm currently leaning towards this type as I had a pleasant experience with the guitar version a few years ago on a headless guitar I absolutely regret selling!

But I am interested to hear what else is out there
It's actually surprisingly easy! The pain is removing the old covering and leftover adhesive gunk!
Cheap heat gun and a scraper and you're in business.
The gig itself was a bit shit - private event in a posh garden, lovely surroundings but it was cold and rainy so we played most of it to an empty garden occasionally punctuated by their kids doing cartwheels
However I did get to use my newly contoured and painted custom bass which felt much nicer
Finally made some progress today after a bit of a hiatus
New guards cut and pickup on the way, going to go for a single p bass (in p90 form) in the bridge position
Looks absolutely stunning. Always love the look of these modern iterations, burny/esp, indie, retrovibe etc
I get all the spiel about protecting his brand and all that but an import ric would sell like crack. I guess he just doesn't like money!
And cue the flames
Turned out pretty good for free hand, but I will clean up the curves and add the bevel on the spindle sander next time I visit my folks
Also the placeholder cheapo pickups I had in my spares box are total junk..
Is there any scope for you to steer the sound? As a spotty teen I was roped into an indie band and ended up pushing us towards a more groove oriented sound which really pushed us forward
(I was kicked out a year later and replaced by a guitarist who was given a bass)
😂
