I had an SM900 for a while. Glorious sounding thing, utterly lovely, but oh the weight.
Hey Rich! That would be the sm 900 i bought off you! Its still going strong by the way! Thanks again!
-
I have an SM 900 and i love it. Good day to you sir.

Another +1 for Zilla from me. Paul built me a 2x10 from the ground up recentely and i love the thing to bits!
-
As Steelyad says, the 5s are surprisingly capable too! Not much of a fan of 8s to produce in either. Fun to listen to music/ dj on though.
-
Man, this is the Dingwall that has set me off down the rabbit hole. Badly gassing for one of these! Enjoy the beautiful bass!

Another microbrute user here. Love the thing, but if you are looking for live use it's not preset capable, so that could be an issue. Also, its monophonic, no chords. Makes great subs or stabs though. The waldorf is another great shout, but you would need a laptop and a midi keyboard to go with it

I love my Adam A7s, and by all accounts iv heard the AX7s are even better. If you really want to rattle your windows you will need a sub to go with them, but they certainly aren't lacking. Iv not played with the 8" but even the 5" ones are very punchy. All in all, would totally recommend.

Still very much getting used to the B3 and trying to create my own patches for it, not much luck so far but some of the patches other users have made have sounded great. What are you guys' go to pre-amp/ amp model settings?

I really wanted a set (green for a black bass, naturally), being a sucker for anything neon, but between 'Design the Skyline' destroying any 'cool' factor and losing warmth from your tone with them, i'm finding myself subtly dissuaded from using them. *sigh* and I do SO like bright colours.

**WITHDRAWN**BC Rich Beast Bass + Flight Case
DangerDan replied to Phazbat's topic in Basses For Sale
I've got a Beast with almost identical damage to the headstock! funny that! mostly because i have never been able to find a flight case for it... If they sell it without the flight case (!) would you let me know? alternatively, if there isn't another home for it i could be tempted to buy a twin for my much loved one... This is a lovely bass! -
This is my practice rig: Bc Rich Beast, SWR-SM900, NOT my Ashdown 4x10. have never found a hard case for a Beast bass, so iv only played it on stage twice, unlike my Tanglewood (!) which is battered after serving me well through so many sessions of abuse on stage (because of which, it is not eligible for the porn section). The SWR OBVIOUSLY goes everywhere with me. (sorry the pic is on its side, il work out these darned technologies one day...)

Haha greetings to AVAST! from AGHAST! And biggup the badman J!
-
Nah just go for it, eventually you will come to realise you do have your own moves, and that you didn't need to practice them, just the music you play. Also, a big YES to skanking out on stage! good times! watch out for overly animated vocalists and spaghetti junction cables though...

Hullo all! just thought i'd take a moment to do some shameless self-promotion in the form of asking you guys to have a listen to my bands new track 'We Fear Silence' from our e.p Live Dangerously! http://soundcloud.com/aghastkvlt/we-fear-silence we'll be releasing the other two tracks very soon! cheers! Daniel AGHAST!

Hey Stevie, sounds like every time i have walked into the bass cellar, i get a blank stare, treated to the view of someone taking a bite of their sandwich and a "Daves not here man"-esque response. Boycott time.
-
Another +1 for the Korg Pitchblack. Both me and our guitarist use these live, and we've never had any problems with them! great for visibility on dark stages too!
-
Awesome! seems like there are a few metal bassists on here! We should try and get some gigs together, Im all for expanding my knowledge of the scene, and there always promoters around trying to find more bands! Stevie - cheers dude! When are you next playing a local show? (I'm actually from London, but half of the band live in Herts). Also, do you know the Abbaden guys?
-
The Fiddler's Elbow in Camden are very willing to put bands on, just need call call Dan (no, not me!) on: 07877798233. Got a gig coming up there myself with AGHAST! (i know, shameless self promotion hey?) on the 22nd of January.

Thanks for all of the welcome comments! Hey Goatreich! hows it going! I've heard of Extreme Noise Terror, in fact i believe it would take a crowbar to get Christiaan, our guitarist, out of his ENT hoodie!
