  1. There is this topic. I want one. Dont need one tho
  2. Thanks! have also ordered a 'Simonon' skull and crossbones sticker from AxetremeCreations. This is how it will look, if it gets too worn (which I would like anyway) I ordered 2 stickers. I didnt like it where he had it on THAT bass of his that the splatter on mine was inspired by I also put on the Rotosound Jazz Bass 77 Monel Flats, love 'em!
  3. I LOVE it! Photos are under artificial lighting - the Emerald Green is so much more GREEN in reality
  4. I noticed that if I touch the poles of the top/neck side split pickup it buzzes, more so when my finger not also grounding onto a string Bottom/bridge side split pickup does not Any ideas, please? I dont think my wiring is wrong (both were already wired together when I got them), and I am used to soldering I seem to remember seeing that this meant that poles were not grounded? But not sure it makes sense why one split is OK, other not
  5. Green Pearl is so Lairy in a seedy type of way that it is even Leary Sorry!
  6. That was from Ali-E This is the Black North Guitars one Pollocked by my arty mate with one-shot Green Emerald Signwriter's Enamel (from Handover Ltd) Inspired by Simonon Still drying I also got a three ply B/W/B and a transparent one from Ali-E I can change pickguards more than I change my pants now It's so good to be able to say pants without having to explain 'not trousers'
  7. It fitted a treat! As did the Ali-Express ones I got as well
  8. Thanks @neepheid That's what I did, sounds great well, until I try to play it 😀
  9. Hi I am putting some GM Thumpers in my new Squier Sonic P-Bass I was just going to solder like wires for like but the wiring of the new Pups is slightly different (see photo) White instead of yellow, but mostly its the wires to solder come out of top not bottom of respective pups I am guessing its just a matter of symmetry (out of phase still?) and it will just be black to where black was and white to where white was? Also, which pup in photo goes neck end and which bridge end? EDIT: I think that I should just solder the white where the yellow was and the black where the black was, and put the pup with the white wire at the neck? Thanks
  10. Hi I have got myself a Black Squier Sonic P to keep at mum's in Essex for use when I'm back home visiting her I'm going to paint it and put a new black pick guard on it, but am not in UK so cant measure it This generic P bass one is from Northwest Guitars https://northwestguitars.co.uk/collections/precision-bass-pickguards/products/precision-bass-compatible-scratchplate-black-1-ply Anyone have a sonic P to hand to see if it might fit? Doesn't have to be exact Thankee
  11. Thanks all Must be a good sign that everyone is out of stock I know I love mine, but I only started in February so know nowt. Yes, I have ordered from Thomann for delivery here to Portugal for my V3 but after waiting the 12 weeks (IIRC) it went back up to 4-5 Weeks at last minute, then again, so I cancelled and got it from Musiker who had it in stock. I have to say, I cant fault Thomann, they were great for my P7, which they had in stock, and loads of other stuff and even a returned P7 from UK (its a long story, nothing wrong with bass) But for the P5 it's out of stock on Thomman and Andertons (for very similar prices) This P5 is for keeping at mum's in UK when I come over to visit (she is on her own now, so its quite often), hence my query about UK dealers My dad was a mechanic, that's why I call them (main) dealers (colloquially known as 'main stealers'), not sure what they are called for music . Actually, my problem has been solved as I found a really nice white P5(R) second hand here in PT last night at a good price, worth the €60 on Ryanair to get it back to mum's house. Actually, I will do a search, but I was thinking, why cant I take the neck off and put it in a well padded suitcase? That is cheaper than a 'musical instrument' on flights and I bet there is no extra care taken Cheers
  12. Hi, Are Andertons and Thomann the only places you can buy Sire's online in the UK? Specifically a P7 I am only back 'home' for a few days so cant go shop hunting (Colchester way) Buying in Portugal is not that good as far less choice and Ryanair charge 60 one way for a bass (or any 'musical instrument) Cheers
  13. I checked them out after @jrixn1 's post They dont seem to be specific guitar/amp, more a third party with their own insurance for other courriers like PF ? @Dan Dare - I cant believe I didnt get that one 🤣
  14. Thank you everyone, Normally I always post back with how I got on, but in this case the sale (through no fault of seller or mine) has fallen through But I do have a good idea of what to factor in in the future! Cheers!
