Just Aqquired some GAS for a Boss ME-50B Multi Effect, So Im looking around the google searches (You Tube Demo Vids, write ups E.T.C) and I come across the Promo Vid that is actually on the Roland.com site ,, Very Poor and Cheesy to the Extreme ,, Not in synch with what he's playing and the fact that it does not show any other sounds you can get from this unit. Shockingly bad marketing. Enjoy... http://media.roland....40/v004005M.mov

Cheers Deb , Hope she plays as good as she looks , Klutz done well, We hung around until the right one came at a nice price, The Auction end time was 9:20 AM on a sunday morning ! so it was an early get up yesterday, But worth it

Same thing happened to me at a gig with my trusty (or has it turned out my not so trusty !) Passive Precision , Jack Socket Failure !! No support band,, No spare bass,,Miles away from home Luckily one of our Roadies spotted the fault and butchered a guitar lead and Soldered the wires on to the Jack socket wires , saved the gig, Never leave home without a spare one now, even to rehearsals

Yeah man its like Christmas day Cant wait to get my hands on a Ric Again, I used one for a few tours (back in the day!!) and they are sweet, probably gonna fuel my GAS so I better start saving ! (Don't tell the missus though ) Welcome to the forum Klutz, they are a fine and Knowledgable bunch on here, see you later dude J
I found this quite useful: It uses D Dorian as an example. If that sounds like gobbledegook, D dorian is just the same as C Major, only it starts and ends on D. No sharps, no flats. http://www.enablebass.com/modal.htm Have a listen to Miles Davis "So What". 16 bars of D dorian, 8 bars of Eb dorian (shift up a semitione, or a fret), then back to D dorian for the last 8 bars. It'll give you loads of practice at playing over the same chord!
Cheers for that,, great track to walk all over,, just jammed over it for an hour!

Ibanez ATK700 with Peavey Amp £275 on the Gumtree
jaybass 70 replied to jaybass 70's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Really trying to persuade myself i like the colour , if the head wasn,t colour coded I could probably live with it, -
This is a Bargain ,, http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/ibanez-atk-700-bass-guitar-with-peavey-amplifier/103430740 These are great Basses , More Substantial than the already substantial ATK300!! If it was a different colour I,d be all over this like a tramp on cold chips
How often would you change them?
depends on the gig schedule I suppose ,, i like a warm tone and find that when the initial zingyness (is that a word ? it is now !) wears off the fenders are great , I seem to buy 3 sets a year so every 4 months . you can pick a set up for about £14 , worth a try for that price. I use Elixir's on my arias but didnt like them on the Fender, I change them once a year!
-
On my precision I use the Fender 8250's . Thats what Fender factory fit to all US and Mex basses, http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Fender-Super-8250M-Bass-Nickel-Plated-Steel-Bass-Strings-45-110/CPU I Love em, Reasonably priced but they lose their Zingyness quite quickly, but i like that! And with me being me I had to try other strings out even though i liked the sound of the fenders, and yes you guessed it I went back to the Fenders!!

I,ve not been able to play cos some dude in his car knocked me off my Mountain bike !! just had surgery to put my right wrist put back together. So I'm brushing up on my theory to fill the lost hours of no Vibrating metal against Resonant wood, And I'm actually enjoying it I can still fret and hammer on to hear the notes and to verify what I'm learning. Every cloud and all that ! -
Sold, my old '73 4001... she's going abroad.

jaybass 70 replied to LukeFRC's topic in Accessories and Misc
I Now use Elixir nanowebs on my arias,, great strings last forever and a day,,Definitely worth the extra coin. -
Who's listening to the Bass
-
Nice guitar,, but why oh why would someone do this,, its also interesting that the laminate strips are very thin compared to the usual strips seen on other SB's,, anyone know the reason for this ? Different sound or just a cost cutting excersise because it is a solid colour,, http://www.ebay.co.u...=item416175c428
