1.
Cn cabs are brighter in the upper mids and less full in the low mids than the hd cabs so they don't hit quite as hard but do stand out a little more in a band mix.
In a Schroedery kind of way?
  2. I think you mean 1999? They didn't start making them until 1998! If I sell my Spector, I'm interested!
  3. OK. By the way, what year was this bass made?
  4.
I've already asked via the Ebay ad, hence the "Bah"
Ah. I did wonder what that was about! Although I've never understood the issue with posting basses. If the buyer arranges it, all the seller need do is package it up and provide measurements. It's hardly onerous. Still, seller's prerogative innit?
  5.
I found these guys recently. Anybody on here bought anything? http://www.at-the-creamery.co.uk/
They look nice - but a lot more expensive than Wizards...
  6.
Having said that, the resale value of TIs must be higher than just about any other strings!
Funny, I've never thought of strings as an investment...
  7. Great bass. Great price. Are you 100% sure you won't post? Even if the buyer were to organise the courier?
  8.
Sorry mate.....downsizing my bass collection , the wife has spoken....
I hear you. If I shift my bass I may well be in touch...
  9. Mmmmmm. Very nice indeed! Not interested in a Spector Euro 4LX are you by any chance?
  10. What does it sound like? With the graphite and EMGs I expect it to be very clean and a bit "hi-fi"? Or am I barking up the wrong tree there?
  11. Cool. Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what you want! I hear your comments about buying new versus used, but if you buy from a trusted member on here with good feedback, it can be nearly as good as a guarantee!
  12.
I want to buy new as I'm miles from any reputable repair guys and just don't want the hassle of couriers and sh*t.
In my whole playing life (over 30 years) I've only ever had to have one amp repaired, so I wouldn't worry too much about that aspect. Re couriers... how do you think your new amp will get to you? Seriously - used (bought from on here) is the way to go, unless you know exactly what you want and it is not currently available on here. And yes, another vote for the LH500 here. Loads of clean, clear power (although the tonestack does take a bit of getting used to!).
  13. I'm fairly sure that was also for sale on Big Ginger Git's a few months ago... I'd love one of those!
  14. Panic over. I located my random collection of allen keys (mostly made up of old IKEA ones!) and as it turns out I already had the two sizes that I needed! What is bizarre though is that on the Mex Fender Classic 70s J that I currently have on loan, the saddle on the E string takes a slightly smaller key than those on the other three strings!! Gotta love Fender!
  15.
SOLD! ...to a Gent on the forum.
Oooh! Tell us who got it? Please, please, please!
  16. I haven't used their J bass pickups, but I really liked a hot P replacement I got for a Squier Affinity from GFS... great prices too! http://www.guitarfet...kups_p_318.html
  17.
Truss rod is 3/16", bridge saddles are 1/16", just checked on mine.
Brilliant! Cheers.
  18.
Generally though what I want changes on a daily basis...
Me too! I must stop looking at the for sale section...
  19.
I love this album and I was really hoping that with the string section on the lastest tour they might play 'losing it' but no.
One of my all-time favourite Rush tracks!
  20.
As a buyer I always leave feedback but don't feel too concerned if I didn't get feedback in return as all I have done is paid for the goods.
You never know when you might find yourself as a seller again! If someone contacts you and makes an offer on your item, it is useful to know whether they have a history of prompt payment. I leave feedback as both buyer and seller. You can never have to much information! Well, in this situation anyway...

Crikey Anth - how many basses have you got at the moment?!
  22.
Feedback is essential, if it's reasonable and honest.
Sometimes you can learn more from what the feedback doesn't say!
  23.
I always send a deliberate pm confirming I've left feedback and including a link to my feedback thread, there've still been a couple who haven't but nearly all will (when they get chance)...?
Yep. I think it is bad manners not to leave feedback for someone who has asked for it, but not everyone thinks it is important. If the person had the time to search the threads, contact you about your item, arrange payment and shipping etc... Then they can't really claim that they don't have time to leave a brief feedback post!
  24.
Try these mate they work for me and are cheap http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649
Thanks for that!
