Never thought I would sell this cab! In fact, if Greeneking's EAD Foundation sells, I will withdraw this immediately. This is a late Gen 2 model, so it has two speakon connectors - http://barefacedbass...nge/compact.htm Light as a feather but as loud as a drunken elephant in stilettos . Beautiful rich, full tone but no tweeter, so glistening top-end sparkle may be slightly lacking for some people (not that I have noticed). The cab is in excellent condition and comes with a Roqsolid cover with blue trim/piping. It has been used regularly but never abused. I am the second owner, after mcnach of this parish - http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2966326 I can post at cost, but local pickup or meet up preferred.

This is the original version (the newer version is slightly smaller) but with an adjustable (and defeatable) tweeter factory-fitted as an optional extra. It was made in 2014 and has been owned by several BC members already. It measures a little under 30" high x little over 20" wide x 15.5" deep and weighs a very manageable 17kg due to its Neodymium driver. Pretty much unmarked as I've only gigged it twice and occasionally used it for rehearsal, and has always lived in its snug-fitting padded TKS cover. New, when available, these cabs cost close on £700 with the adjustable tweeter (+£75) and padded cover (+£50). I no longer have the original box, but could cobble together some packaging if required for shipping (which would be at the buyer's expense and risk). Located in Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England, but I regularly travel west, so Cumbria and South West Scotland are feasible for delivery or meet up. I could also deliver/meet within a reasonable range of The Toon (to be discussed!). A fantastically powerful and articulate cab that is lightweight and very manageable. Beautifully made, and just oozes class. Cash sale only please - no trades. If I didn't need the cash I'd be keeping the cab!

Vanderkley are better than Barefaced cabs, right?!

Excellent point, and that's what I was trying to say in my previous post. -

I've had that before, when playing a gig with wateroftyne's band. He played through my rig (Markbass LM2 and gen 2 Compact) and I was pleasantly impressed with the sound of the rig (and his playing of course!). If I sound half as good as that then I'm VERY happy with my set-up I'm sure VK cabs are all very lovely an' that, but I have no cab GAS at all and no need to try one. I'm happy about that I also have a TKS H115 that I am equally happy with, but it is a bit more bulky. If I had to keep one and move the other on, it would be the Barefaced cab that stayed. -

Obbm all the way for me. I see no need to spend more, and can't imagine any noticeable improvement if I did. But as BRX said, what do you call "High End"?
Hope this helps; good luck with the sale.
Cheers for that But no, that just confuses me even more! I already have a DI unit and have no need of the other (undoubtedly amazing!) functions. In fact, just reading about them gives me a headache!! -

But as he plays it the same as he does on the recorded version, does it still count as a "solo"? And yes, his fingers look to be even longer than Stanley Clarke's!
Every bass I've owned was perfect for one reason or another, but it just seems to be my nature to change my gear out periodically. If there's any correlation between price and perfection, I have a beaten up old Aria P-bass copy that (after hardware updates) still owes me less than £120 And it is perfect.
I'm similar in that respect. Despite having owned several basses that retail at well over £1000, the one I keep coming back to is my modified J&D "1975" Jazz bass. It cost £119 brand new, and the mods (MIM P bass bridge, Tonerider pickups, headstock sprayed surf green to match the body, Hipshot string tree and purple tort plate) adding less than £100. It just works for me, where every other instrument has had one (or more) irritating little foible that has caused me to leave it at home, or move it on. I don't think I'm particularly difficult to please, and I am becoming less sentimental about gear (whereas I used to get quite upset about selling or trading guitars!). I like to try as much gear as possible, but increasingly I am coming to realise that it's not about "best" once you reach a certain quality level, just what works for you

Happy for you that you've found your dream bass.... but Jesus that's ugly!!
