...sure I accept your point, BUT, how many of the thousands of succesfull deliveries do we hear about, we usually only get personal experience from people who have bad experiences, whoever is the courier. People tell of a bad deal but rarely big up a good deal IMO.
Well, I haven't shipped a huge amount of stuff - but I've used PF every time and never had a problem so far. YMMV.

The saddest pic ever on ebay
Conan replied to Jean-Luc Pickguard's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I shouldn't really laugh... especially as my son is in debt to the tune of £600 after running up a huge mobile phone bill watching internet porn.... Which is why I'm trying to sell his music gear... But I did laugh! -
If the singer can't sing - and let's face it, most of them can't - then you can forget it.
Better? Depends on the audience. Most of us on here are probably biased, but for most punters it's the primadonna, pouting, flouncing, huffy, lazy, egotistical bastard that most of us like to call the 'singer' that makes or breaks a band. Obviously, instrumental music doesn't count.

But does it sound/play three time better than a Sue Ryder P?
Seem to remember we also had a fretless with little brass plate pickups set into the neck - I think that was one of yours as well?
I remember them! In fact I really wanted one at the time...
I don't one with a fan in it though...
Amps without fans tend to have BIG heat sinks/fins instead - which can make them bulky... What's the problem with fans? Does Simon Cowell keep hitting them?
If you bought a case on here or anywhere else for that matter and it turned up damagaged with a only a bit of sticky tape and a stamp on it, you would also be peeved
I can see why you might feel peeved, but will it really be worth all the hassle to get a few quid towards the case? If it was a cheap one, and well-used, how much do you think this would amount to? Enjoy the bass and move on would be my advice.
My view is that (based on the listing) you weren't buying the case, therefore no recompense is due ... but that the seller was irresponsible for not packing properly and very lucky the bass wasn't damaged, leading to a serious dispute and him ultimately being very out of pocket
This. Sounds like a lucky escape. If the bass is a high-value instrument (as it sounds like it is) then you would probably have been looking to invest in a new, decent case anyway. I'd be looking to breathe a sigh of relief and move on I think.
I'm sure one of our Status experts will chime in but I think that is an early Energy or a an S3000. I think the S2000 was all graphite.
Yep. The S2000 has humbuckers and four controls - volume, pickup blend, bass cut/boost and treble cut/boost. It was indeed all graphite. This looks like a 3000 to me... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=100694 This is an S2000...
...Gary Willis.... It's just astonishing technically.
Agreed. But I also think that it's buttock-clenchingly dull. Technique for the sake of technique. Fair enough if it's played at a trade show (which it seems to be) but otherwise, what exactly is the target market for this type of shredding?
Stipe's only got one voice, after all!
So has Geddy Lee, and nobody could accuse Rush of re-animating their own corpse every couple of years since the seventies.
REM are like a re-animated corpse or a party guest that won't leave.
Brilliant quote!! Mind if I use it in my sig?

Not trying to steal icastle's thunder or anything... but I have two neutered queens that I would like to re-home. They are both loving animals and well house-trained. As my kids have got older they have lost interest in having pets and just don't look after their cats My wife and I work full time and never seem to have time to give the cats the attention they need - so they are always under our feet! If anyone in the North East of England or Southern Scotland would like one or both of these cats, please get in touch. I'm happy to drop them off. I'll take some pics and post them later if there is any interest.
One of the cats came in a few months ago with a bat! Whilst it's certainly not funny from a wildlife conservation point of view, the look of bemusement on the cats face was funny - a sort of puzzled 'I didn't know mice can fly' expression.
Classic!!
Right, time to sort this once and for all The best bassist theoretically possible would be Flea's adopted son.... He'd be PC, she'd be Mac. He would use ketchup and she would have nothing, not even vinegar. Neither would touch mayo
Love it!! There is now no need for this site to continue. That's the whole thing in a nutshell!! No mention of Jamerson though...
