    I always wondered what it would sound like if every member of a "band" soloed at the same time.... It's like a car crash. Horrible, but somehow I couldn't look away.

    Easy! "Why can't we be together" by Sade from her Diamond Life album!! Great solid bass groove IMO. I bought the album and learned every note... played till my fingertips blistered and then bled... EDIT due to complete lies written above... It was actually Rush's "Freewill" from the Permanent Waves album! Nowt like starting with an easy tune! No idea why I thought it was the Sade one first, but that album (and Sade herself!) certainly left an impression!

    Although if you are hitting the 12th fret, you are definitely making life hard for yourself!!

    If you are thumbing it onto one of the frets with a strong harmonic (e.g. 24, 21, 12 etc) it is far more likely you will get this effect. As others have said, try to hit the edge of the fretboard...

    Is it the same size as the TE 4x10 cabinets? Obviously it will be heavier, but is the width and depth the same?

    Its nearly a year since John Martyn died, and I was really upset by that. Not least due to annoyance at myself! He had just played in Newcastle in the November and I didn't bother going as I thought the ticket prices were a bit steep. Now I'll never get the chance to see him... I still remember the day in 1991 when I heard that Freddie Mercury had died. Empty, hollow, numb.... I never knew him or even met him, but Queen's music had been a massive part of my life for over 10 years by then. Just so sad knowing that there would be no further [b]Queen[/b] music recorded. For me, "Queen" without Freddie is just not the real deal. I don't recall being very affected by the death of many other musicians... EDIT: Except Phil Lynott!!
