Great job guys! It would have been great if someone with some Bergantino cabs had been available - particularly as these seem to be the standard to which all others are compared at the moment.

Been listening to this track a lot today. Absolutely fecking awesome! One of the most haunting videos I have ever seen and the music is simply beautiful. Reminiscent of a meeting between Air and Scott Walker... Maybe a bit of Mogwai thrown in too?

Like a tree falling in a forest, if nobody notices you "vanish", have you really vanished? At first I misread the OP title as "would you buy varnish from Basschat?". I'm sure I'm becoming dyxlexsic in my old age...
Bump ,no intrest and is something I said type of bump
If you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism mate, your ad is a bit cluttered and confusing now! Might be worth a bit of an edit to the OP to make it clear that the amp is no longer included in the deal. Might even be worth starting a new thread for just the cab as the original asking price will still remain. Also, you could be a bit more specific about exactly what the Barefaced cab is. IIRC, BF G1 didn't feature the Big Baby - so it would be G2 I guess? Links to the BF site for info (and original selling price) might well help your sale too
I've never got this. It's just an extra string and it's tuned to the same interval as the others. It was a long time ago (1989) but I can't remember the extra string on mu first 5-string giving me any problems when I started. Maybe I found myself on the wrong string a couple of times in the first couple of days, but that was it.
Cool. We're all different. I'm usually pretty flexible and ready to try new things, but for me there were no advantages of the various fives I've owned so I sold them on after a few months. To be fair, they were budget to mid-price instruments, so maybe I never gave fivers a "proper" chance? I'm pleased for you that you get on so well with your fives, but they are just not for me (at this moment in time, in this band, playing this material...).
... and walking around the room it was clear that these speakers are going to be great onstage. If I stand right in front of them a few metres away, there's a lot of midrange/treble and makes it sound perhaps a bit bass-shy... but just move away from the axis and the sound is very balanced and very uniform pretty much wherever I am.
Great review! I've pretty much decided that when cash allows I will be getting a pair of these little beauties, but the one thing that concerned me (especially after owning a Barefaced Big One) was the dispersion. You've largely put my mind at rest on that score - so thanks!
I have a HD210 which is identical to these but without carpet covering and it is brilliant. This is an excellent price for a pair, I must say!
They are indeed great cabs, but as I get a bit older I am finding it a bit of a struggle now that my band is starting to gig more frequently. Our rehearsal room is up two flights of twisty stairs and I am finding the Bergs a bit on the unwieldy side. I forget all that once they are plugged in, of course!
I had and played several 5s over the years but always seem to drift back to 4s. So for me it's 4 all the way.
Me too. I get all the advantages of fives, but my brain and hands just can't get used to them

Brilliant cabs. Awesome tone. Can be stacked vertically or horizontally for added flexibility. Adjustable tweeters. 8ohms and 400W handling (very conservatively rated!).
VPF is just a fancy name for a contour control, you'll lose your presence in the mix cranking that much above the off position.
Pretty much - except it depends on the actual mix (as stated earlier). It can be useful almost as an effect, instead of having to change the bass, high mid, low mid and treble controls! Assuming you want a bit of scoop for a certain song...
Unless the pots are noisy this would be a total waste of money,
Why? Have you tried one of KiOgons wiring looms? They make a heck of a difference to the sound of a bass - especially one that has cheap components as standard.
