1. Someone buy these excellent cabs so that Sean can buy mine!
 2.
other possible trades would be an interesting cab. Barefaced, TKS etc...
PM incoming...
 3. I'm guessing that most bass players that want (and can afford) either MB or BF cabs, and use more than one, tend to stick to one or the other brand. that's not to say that they won't sound good together mind! I tried a BF Compact (the gen 2 version with the 15" speaker) with a TKS H115 and it sounded bloody great! Is the Markbass cab 8 ohm or 4?
 4. Try it. If it sounds good, it works
 5.
I played the 15" version of this with the tweeter, and it was glorious. Such authority, with big, effortless lows. The addition of the 6" can only be a great thing.
Agreed. If someone will take my Big One this will be making its way North soon!
 6. Bump for small price drop. £425 or £475 posted within the UK (May be a bit more if shipped elsewhere, which I am happy to do!).
 7. Quite a few options around in the for sale threads at the moment, certainly for cabs - not so much for amps though... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/265620-gallien-krueger-neo-410-and-neo-115-for-sale/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/265477-tc-electronic-bc212-pair-for-sale/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/263582-for-sale-uk-made-ashdown-abm-neo-210h-8ohm-500w-lightweight-cab/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/262699-trace-elliot-ah250-gp11-mk-v-l175/ Enough to get you started!
 8.
is that £250 for that pair?

Will split if need be one forty each or there abouts.
So it would seem!
 9.
Make them carry their own spitoons and clean them out in the toilets in their own time.
Spitoon is a great word! Sadly underused these days...
 10.
TH500 is sold. Thanks dustandbarley!
It's been around a bit, has that amp!
 11.
Part of the fight against TB dont you know.
I'm not a fan of Talkbass, but that's a bit harsh!
The caretaker was complaining that the kids are allowed to flob IN the school during Ramadam, but he was refusing to clean it up. Appy polly logies if its a stupid question, but why during Ramadam ?
I think it's to do with fasting Muslims not being allowed to swallow anything during daylight hours - even their own saliva...
 12. Manchester and Kendal are "Southern" to some of us, y' know!
 13. What's your budget? Are you prepared to buy used or would you insist on new? How big is the boot of your car? How strong and fit are you (which will affect what you call "portable"). Oh, and sorry to be pedantic - but what you need is volume, not wattage (i.e. power). The two are related, but not directly. There are many other factors in getting decent volume and tone...
 14.
I assume its a signal/instrument cable as you are only carrying a signal not power.
All "signals" are current (i.e. a flow of charge). Current tends to cause a heating effect. The larger the current, the larger the heating effect... Increase the resistance and you increase the current (Ohm's Law). Thicker cables have lower resistance (assuming the same conducting materials are used).... Not aimed at you specifically BD - but just a general comment... So get some decent (usually thick) cables/leads to connect speakers to amps! They are not cheap, but remember that the chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and many of us spend thousands on our guitars, amps and cabs only to use cheap cables with them. False economy!
 15. Recent threads on compression have not ended well... let's hope this one can stay helpful, informative and pleasant!
 16.
want something that I can crank up to get the best out of!
That works for guitar amps (if you want distortion of course!) but with most bass amps you are better getting the biggest amp you can afford and running it at levels way below its capabilities... Not only does it take a lot more power (watts) to amplify bass signals, but to most people's ears bass sounds better with less distortion. YMMV of course! A bass combo of around 30-40 watts won't be anywhere near as "loud" as a guitar amp with similar power.
 17. Brevity. This thread.
 18. Cool - so everyone who already has one loves it, and those who used to have one would have it back (if time and/or space allowed). Some measure of the esteem in which these cabs are held!
 19.
I'm planning to set up a rehearsal room when so I hope having something bigger with a bit more headroom I can minimise anyone overloading them.
Good luck with that!
 20.
I'm happy to say I have one of these, This is a great piece of kit.
It is! Would you like another one? Stack of Doom.... or you could leave one at home and one at your rehearsal place... Hang on, if I got another one, so could I!!
 21. Catchy name! Gorgeous - have a bump
 22. I'm just wondering what this would look and sound like on top of my Barefaced Big One... Now that would be a stack!
 23.
Bump! £182!
I think you'll find that it's "Blink 182"
