Any one have any thoughts on how Timmy C gets that grindy/crunchy tone on Evil Empire? There used to be massive threads on it on MXtabs, but I can't seem to get those up. I know he used overwound pickups, and has his Ampegs modded in some way. But if there's a practical, easier way, such as pedals, that someones used to get [i]close to [/i]that sound. It all sounded terrible, most of the tracks were too quiet, and Kelly Rowland was flat most of the time and couldn't hold a note. Case of kettle calling the pot black really, considering these people are meant to be a benchmark of talent

Bought andys whammy, and despite some problems, couldn't be happier with the product and the guy, was helpful (if not a little had to contact) through a tough time, and everything came together brilliantly in the end. Has anyone else had trouble with the floor covering on these pedal cases? After chopping and changing the effects in my signal path countless times, its starting to come up at the corners. I know they're cheap, but this seems like a pretty large design oversight. Any recommendations for a fix? at the moment i'm considering ripping it out and cutting a large sheet of fluffy velco and replacing it with that. I would staple it in the corners, but I'm not sure there's really much to tack on to Help greatly appreciated, as always Thanks guys Will
