1.
Essential Tension's Trans Blue L2500. My MIA Jazz fretless was part of the px - which I loved but ....... I've been after an L2500 for ages. I had a brief foray into 5'ers with a Lakky DJ5 (which is now with Mr Russ), but I hated the neck width, string spacing and 35" scale. I thought I was definately not for a 5 string but after playing a L2500 in Electro I was sold on having another go - a completely different beast to play and sounds to die for.
Yeah! I had a Laky 5502, the neck was wide, and that scale, just too long. Im thinking of thinning my collection right down to just 2, but there is a Ken Smith BT Custom that I have my eye on, ive GASEd one of those for years, sheesh, it never ends! That trans blue youre on about, has it got a flame top? Maybe up for grabs, my 73 sunburst jazz bass..........anyone?

 4. oK SO IT ARRIVED AT LAST FROM usa, A HONEYBURST US model, with an ebony board, super fast neck, medium weight, great action and sexy to boot. Plugged in, all I can say is wow, its true what they say about the tone! Absolute punch factory! 4 basses in one, jazz, precision, stingray and G&L! Such diversity. Ive already recorded with it and it sounds sick, really cuts thru, lots of character. Cant wait to gig it and see the looks on the bands faces. (sorry about the grubby finger marks, cant keep my hands off it.)
 5. Does that mean I am next on the list? Many Thanks
 6. Sorry to hear, all the best.

 13. Why not get a L2500 premium for £40 more? http://guitare.playback-europe.com/g&l...urst-11090.html
 14. Not Jaco, but Julius! Check out many brilliant tunes by them http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...Group&vt=lf I feel this is a new standard! Excellent players.

 18.
Nah, I only bought it yesterday. As I said in my initial post - there's still USPS/HM Customs and Excise/ParcelFarce to make it through. I feel like I have to defend myself here in the face of some scepticism. It's just a heads up on what seems like a reasonable starting point for a project, at a favourable price. Yes, it's in the states. Yes there has been some negative feedback. If that bothers you - caveat emptor - if you think it looks dodgy, walk away. I consider the risks to be within acceptable tolerances, as I explained earlier in the thread.
Well said!
 19. I know this is nothing to do with MM, but if you want 5 strings, more versatility than an SR5, have you checked an L2500 out? kinda like SR5's big brother. I am gasing bad for one.
 20. Sheesh why does London get all the hotties? She is an awesome female player!
 21. Try zShare www.zshare.net is an excellent file sharing place used by lots and lots of websites, its clean, simple & they do a built in audio player. So upload your mp3 and then get the audio link so people can listen to it in their browser! Try Box.net Box is probably the best file hosting service I have ever seen. The interface is simply amazing and you can do things like create a public page with flash mp3 player and flash jpeg gallery in one click. Very worth the try and fast too Smile I have referred over 30 people to this place from my blog and now I get more upload space and transfer for free (not that I use it as I already pay for web hosting Wink) www.box.net

 25.
Is buying direct from the factory going to cost lost of ££s? They're almost custom basses, aren't they.
Ive been in contact with guitar man who has given me a pretty good quote, as I dont think I could buy direct, and I also got a quote from FCN and its pretty much double!!! I asked her at FCN if I should import one, and guess what she said, 'no you musntn't do that, but thru us', sod that for a game of soldiers! So maybe even fly out to NY in 12 weeks, pick it up, and have a little holiday!
