    Why dont you get a second opinion, take the bass to a guitar shop tech, have him play it, and confirm the strings are dead. A B your bass against other basses... my 2cents

    I sold my 73 on ebay and was very dissapointed at the final price, £1170! Gutted. Nice bass Andy!

    Thought I'd show my latest setup, '90 Smith Custom, early 90's SWR 350 modular rig (Ebay) and trusty old Ray 5 with a new MM pickup, the old one was f***ed. It all Sounds absolutely beaut! 1st gig with it this weekemd (Anyone using 2 or more speakers, do you find they sound better next to each other, rather than stacked?) The Smith plays and sounds like you'd expect, incredible bass!

    Im afraid I took my 1000 back to the shop and got my money back, as I just snagged an old SWR rig for the same money as the amp alone! I thought the LH1000 was ok but love the tone of the old SWR much more!
